With the Snyder Cut of the Justice League movie coming to HBO Max, that will mean new footage, which could include additional J.K. Simmons scenes as Gordon.

In a recent interview, J.K. Simmons was asked about the Snyder Cut where he offered it could feature a small amount of new footage:

I did talk to Zack. Yeah. He had to get everybody’s permission to even do that. By everybody, I mean the cast. We chatted a couple times.  I don’t know there is going to be significantly more Commissioner Gordon. There is a little bit more that we shot that wasn’t in the first cut there. So I don’t know. I’m anxiously awaiting as all the fans are.

Snyder Cut coming to HBO Max

Zack Snyder recently let it be known that the theatrical release of Justice League only featured 25% of his version of the movie, so there will be a lot more scenes in the Snyder Cut.

It’s also been said the Snyder Cut on HBO Max could be four hours in length or even a six-part series.

Zack has also confirmed there will be a lot more character development in his take of the movie.

Zack also recently thanked the fans and teased both Darkseid and Martian Manhunter which will be a part of the new footage for the film.

“You know as well as I do that none of this would be at all possible without your incredible dedication and incredible perseverance,” Snyder said to the fans. “This whole thing started and I thought it’s amazing that these guys want to see what I made, but I was sure it would go away. And it didn’t. Not only did it not go away, but it started to become a real movement, and I saw it raise awareness for AFSP. I saw it bring in a giant group of people together, and I saw one voice that changed the world at made anything possible. So for that I just want to say thank you. Guys are amazing.”

The Snyder Cut gets released on HBO Max in 2021.
