The Conjuring: Last Rites Debuts New Trailer Ahead of Final Chapter

The Conjuring: Last Rites has debuted a new trail and poster, setting up the final chapter in the long-running horror franchise.

Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return as real-life paranormal investigators Lorraine and Ed Warren in what’s being billed as their last case.

Final Case for the Warrens

The Conjuring: Last Rites marks the ninth theatrical release in the Conjuring universe and sees the Warrens face a new supernatural threat. Directed by franchise regular Michael Chaves, the film is based on another reported true story and brings the original leads back for one final investigation.

Joining Farmiga and Wilson are Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy, who play the Warrens’ daughter Judy and her boyfriend Tony Spera. Steve Coulter reprises his role as Father Gordon, with additional cast members including Rebecca Calder, Elliot Cowan, Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, John Brotherton, and Shannon Kook.

Creative Team and Release Date

Michael Chaves directs from a script by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, with a story credit going to Johnson-McGoldrick and James Wan. Production is handled by Wan and Peter Safran, with executive producers Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Natalia Safran, John Rickard, Hans Ritter, and Johnson-McGoldrick.

The behind-the-scenes team features cinematographer Eli Born, production designer John Frankish, editors Elliot Greenberg and Gregory Plotkin, and composer Benjamin Wallfisch.

The Conjuring: Last Rites will hit theaters and IMAX in North America on September 5, 2025, with international markets getting the film starting September 3.
