Sony and Marvel released a short teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, giving fans their first glimpse at Tom Holland’s new Spidey suit as filming starts Friday in Glasgow and Pinewood Studios.
The teaser comes with the film officially having entered production, with set photos and casting confirmations having hit the net.
New Suit Revealed
The brief teaser (watch below) posted to the official Spider-Man social media accounts shows Holland’s Peter Parker suited up in a fresh costume. Details remain under wraps, but fans are already speculating this is the most grounded look yet—which looks to be a nod to Spider-Man’s shift toward street-level crime fighting, as previously teased by Marvel boss Kevin Feige.
The official Instagram account was also wiped clean before the teaser dropped—mirroring the reset in No Way Home, where the world forgets who Peter Parker is. The teaser is now the account’s first post.

Hulk vs. Spider-Man vs. Punisher
On top of the suit reveal, Marvel confirmed that Mark Ruffalo is back as the Hulk, ditching the Smart Hulk persona in favor of the more dangerous Savage Hulk. According to reports, the green giant will clash with Spider-Man and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher in an early action scene before the three confront a larger threat.
Insider Daniel Richtman also teased a massive battle between Spider-Man and Punisher involving a DODC (Department of Damage Control) transport convoy. It’s unclear what sets the characters at odds, but it likely ties into the film’s central mystery and true villain reveal.
Scorpion Returns, More Villains Rumored
Michael Mando is also back as Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion, following his brief introduction in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Whether he fully suits up this time remains to be seen.
Additional rumored villains include Boomerang, Tombstone, Tarantula, and Lady Chameleon—who some say may be the movie’s true antagonist. Steven Yeun and Sara Snook are rumored to play villain roles, though nothing official has been confirmed.

Ground-Level Focus for Peter Parker
Producer Amy Pascal previously explained the new film’s direction: “He decided he was going to give up being Peter Parker and focus on being Spider-Man because being Peter Parker was too hard. So that’s what the movie is about.”
Kevin Feige echoed the shift in tone, saying fans will see Spider-Man tackling street-level crime instead of world-ending threats, noting, “This is the first time Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will be a proper Spider-Man.”
