Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Tracking Like The Movie Of The Summer

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is Tracking Like The Movie Of The Summer

Spider-Man: Brand New Day isn’t just on track for a big opening, it’s shaping up as the movie of the summer.

New tracking data from The Quorum, highlighted by Puck News, shows the Tom Holland sequel posting the strongest interest score of any film on the board, well ahead of heavy hitters like Toy Story 5 and Moana.

As Puck put it, “Forget Toy Story 5, Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day looks like the movie of the summer, with a monster interest score on The Quorum’s early film tracking chart.”

A Board-Leading Interest Score

On The Quorum’s eight-week-out tracking, Brand New Day posts an interest score of 67 — the highest of any title on the chart — alongside 70% awareness, with both figures still climbing.

Interest is the more telling of the two metrics: awareness just measures whether people know a movie exists, while interest measures whether they actually want to see it. Leading the board on interest, this far out, is the strongest possible early signal.

The tracking note accompanying the data sums it up, describing “overwhelming enthusiasm across nearly every demographic,” a rare breadth of appeal that points toward the kind of four-quadrant opening the franchise is known for.

It lines up with the film’s record-breaking presales, new trailer, and recent marketing push, which already marked the best first-day advance sales in five years.

So everything is firing on all cylinders for Spidey, while the opposite is true for this week’s Supergirl, where awareness has finally spiked, but interest still has not followed at the same pace. Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey also saw a rise in awareness, but the interest remained flat.

Tracking isn’t destiny — early scores shift as marketing peaks and reviews land — but interest this strong, this far out, is hard to fake.

Combined with record presales and a trailer that confirmed its biggest reveals, Brand New Day is entering its final stretch as the film to beat this summer. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31, 2026.
