IO Interactive has officially announced 007 First Light, a new James Bond video game coming in 2026 to PlayStation 5. The trailer reveals a young, untested Bond at the start of his MI6 career, offering a fresh take on the origin of the iconic spy.

On a side note, James Bond is now owned by Amazon, which will be launching a new movie franchise with a new actor in the role. A New Bond Origin Story
007 First Light introduces players to a young James Bond, before he becomes the legendary 007. After a heroic act as a Naval air crewman, Bond is recruited into MI6’s newly reinstated Double 0 program. But a mission gone wrong sets him on a dangerous path alongside his reluctant mentor, Greenway, to expose a coup at the heart of the State.

Gameplay: Stealth, Action, and Choice
The game is a third-person action-stealth experience. You can approach missions in your own style—stealthy or aggressive—using gadgets, brute force, or deception. IO Interactive, known for the Hitman series, promises a cinematic espionage adventure with iconic vehicles and global locations.
Replayable Missions and MI6 Challenges
Players can replay missions using different tactics and gameplay modifiers, providing strong replay value. IO Interactive is emphasizing a sandbox structure where players test their spy skills in a variety of situations.
