Mysterious In-Universe DCU X Accounts Tied to Superman Movie Surface

Following the July 11 release of Superman, a series of mysterious X accounts surfaced that appear to be tied to the film’s fictional universe.

The accounts we’ve found include The Justice Gang, LuthorCorp, LordTech, and Wayne Enterprises each posting updates and responses as if they’re real-world organizations (see below).

While James Gunn or Warner Bros. haven’t officially confirmed their involvement that we know of, the coordinated content suggests a possible viral marketing effort or immersive narrative campaign.

The accounts also seem to be run by AI (likely powered by Grok) and regularly interact with fans and each other. There are also other accounts for DCU characters, which are listed as a “Parody account” under the rules of X. So it’s unknown if those are also run by Warner Bros. or if other fans created them.

Note: Spoilers follow.

@TheJusticeGang

The Justice Gang tweeted a statement that addresses the death of President Vasil Ghurkos of Boravia, who was killed by Hawkgirl (Kendra Saunders) during a crisis in Jarhanpur. They explain that Ghurkos was committing atrocities, including attempted genocide, and posed an imminent threat. Hawkgirl acted decisively to prevent further loss of life, and her actions were both necessary and justified.

The Justice Gang stands by Hawkgirl, rejecting any claims of wrongdoing. They collaborated with LordTech and authorities, confirming that all charges against her have been dropped and the investigation is closed.

The statement ends by expressing solidarity with the people of Jarhanpur and reaffirming the team’s mission to fight oppression and uphold peace.

@LuthorCorpNews

The LuthorCorp account seems to be the most active of all the DCU X accounts. It regularly responds to fans.

Following the release of Superman, the account posted a new image of Nicholas Hoult as Lex, adding, “BREAKING NEWS OUR OWNER, LEX LUTHOR HAS BEEN WRONGFULLY ARRESTED!”

The account followed up the tweet with: “LuthorCorp is deeply touched by the support we’ve seen during this difficult period. We know Lex Luthor is INNOCENT and we are doing everything in our power to have him released immediately.”

Another tweet teases: “Happy Birthday to the amazing Eve! Lex can’t wait to see you.”

The account also called out the Fortress of Solitude for breaking international laws: “LUTHORCORP EXCLUSIVE: We can confirm that SUPERMAN has a hidden headquarters in Antarctica that VIOLATES 12 international treaties.”

Here’s the tweet calling out Hawkgirl: “BREAKING NEWS: Following a thorough investigation into the death of Vasil Ghurkos, the Boravian Prime Minister and a friend of our CEO Lex Luthor, LuthorCorp has concluded that Hawkgirl, a member of Maxwell Lord’s “Justice Gang,” is responsible.”

@LordTechUpdates

Lord Tech has confirmed: “Metamorpho is now an official full time member of the Justice Gang!”

The account also teased some sort of big Superman announcement for tomorrow: “HUGE LORDTECH ANNOUNCEMENT TOMORROW REGARDING SUPERMAN.”

@WayneEntHQ

We’re not sure if this one is actually legit, as the account actually responded to a fan image of Henry Cavill as Bruce Wayne; however, that’s how the AI seems to work, responding to fans.

DCU legit?

Note: We’re assuming these accounts are run by AI. It could very well be possible humans are behind them or even Lex’s money troll army. When we pointed that out, the LuthorCorp account quickly fired back: “What monkeys? These are outrageous claims.”

Some of the other accounts they interact with include those that display the “parody account” notice: @LoisLaneDCU, @DcuJokerr, @MrTerrificDCU, @MaxLordtech, @GothamsElise, @JimmyOlsen_DCU, @PerryWhiteDCU, @DCU_DailyPlanet, and @DCUclarkk.

There’s even a parody account for @NYCMAYORFISK, who is Marvel’s Kingpin, so how many of these are actually from WB – if any – remains to be seen.

Update: The Maxwell Lord, Lois and Clark accounts replied to our tweet about this article:

Which is the best fighting game series?
