MARVEL Cosmic Invasion just powered up its roster again—this time with two heavy-hitters from Marvel Cosmic.
Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill are confirmed as playable characters in the 2025 retro-style beat ’em up from Dotemu and Tribute Games. Watch the trailer below.
Silver Surfer and Beta Ray Bill Join the Fight
The two spacefaring heroes bring cosmic firepower to the fight against Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave. Silver Surfer flies in on his board with the Power Cosmic in full effect, while Beta Ray Bill swings Stormbreaker like it’s war time.
Updated Roster of Playable Characters
That brings the known roster up to eleven so far: Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Nova, Phyla-Vell, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Storm, and Venom. With 15 total playable characters confirmed, only a few more reveals to go.

Tribute Games has also released the voice cast. MARVEL Cosmic Invasion features voice performances from:

Staying True to Marvel’s Cosmic Stories
As far as accuracy to the Annihilation comics? Surfer and Bill both fit the bill—no pun intended. These two were key players in the 2006 cosmic event and are much better picks than the usual Earth-bound crew Marvel throws into everything.
Gameplay Details
The game features a tag-team system, retro pixel-art graphics, and both local and online multiplayer. You’ll be able to swap between characters mid-level using the “Cosmic Swap” mechanic and build combo attacks tailored to your hero pair.

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion releases in 2025 for Steam, Switch, PS4/PS5, and Xbox. The game is already up on Steam for wishlisting. No price yet, but expect something in the $25 range.
