Marvel MaXimum Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam, packing 13 classic Marvel arcade, console, and handheld games into one bundle.
Limited Run Games is publishing the collection in partnership with Marvel Games and Konami, with a “coming soon” release window and no date yet.
13 classic Marvel games across arcade, console, and handheld
Limited Run is pitching MaXimum Collection as a “best-of-every-version” package, pulling together multiple releases of the same title across different platforms so you can compare the arcade originals to the home and handheld ports.
The announcement confirms 13 games total, though only a portion of the full lineup has been spotlighted so far.

- X-Men: The Arcade Game (Arcade)
- Captain America and The Avengers (Arcade, Sega Genesis, NES)
- Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage (SNES, Sega Genesis)
- Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety (SNES, Sega Genesis)
- Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge (SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear)
- Silver Surfer (NES)
X-Men: The Arcade Game returns with online play
The big hook is X-Men: The Arcade Game finally coming back on modern platforms, this time with online multiplayer support for up to six players and rollback netcode.
Modern features added to make the classics playable
MaXimum Collection isn’t just ROMs in a menu. Limited Run is adding modern quality-of-life features across the package, including:
- Rewind and save states (save anywhere)
- Integrated cheats menu (like infinite lives, where supported)
- Display options (including CRT/scanline filters)
- A museum/archive with scans of box art, manuals, and vintage ads
- A music player for the classic soundtracks

Marvel MaXimum Collection is listed for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
It’s currently labeled “Coming Soon,” with no price or release date announced yet.
