The June 17 date just went from rumor to official, at least for tickets. Tom Holland has released a video message confirming that tickets for Spider-Man: Brand New Day go on sale in one week, on June 17: “Hey, everyone! Get tickets for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in one week.”
Sony’s accompanying post drives it home: “Set those reminders. In ONE WEEK, you can finally secure your tickets for #SpiderManBrandNewDay – in theatres July 31.”
There’s still no official trailer announcement, but the timing is hard to ignore. June 17 is the same day Sony is holding its Global Fan Event with Holland and Zendaya, promising a “special reveal that will be shared worldwide,” which is the same date the new trailer has been rumored for all along. Tickets are now locked for that day; the trailer looks likely.
More Footage Leaks — Including A Scene The First Leak Said Wasn’t There
Meanwhile, the leaks keep coming. New footage claimed to be from a Brand New Day trailer has surfaced showing Spider-Man battling Michael Mando’s Scorpion.
In the sequence, Spidey’s eyes turn black after Mac Gargan pins him against a wall, Peter then swings the villain by his tail and hurls him into the path of an oncoming cop car, acknowledging that he’s starting to lose the plot.
Here’s what’s interesting: the original leaked trailer description specifically claimed Scorpion doesn’t appear in the second trailer.
So either more footage is circulating than that description covered, or multiple cuts have leaked. Either way, Sony’s marketing materials are clearly out in the wild beyond a single trailer.
The new footage also shows Spider-Man bringing MJ to The Punisher, asking the vigilante to keep her safe from an unknown threat, with MJ later imploring Frank Castle to lend Spidey a hand.
There’s even unfinished VFX of Spider-Man vs. Hulk, along with leaked B-roll of Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, and Jacob Batalon recording greetings for international markets.

Sony has been issuing copyright takedowns across YouTube and social media, which, as always, did exactly one thing: confirmed the footage is genuine.
Any fans wondering whether the blurry clips were AI fabrications got their answer when the DMCA notices started landing.
The question now is whether the leaks change Sony’s plans. Some speculate the studio could rework the trailer or even drop it early to get ahead of the bootlegs, but for now the June 17 rollout — fan event, tickets, and presumably the trailer — appears intact.
