Sony just gave the rumored new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer a launchpad.
Sony Pictures Netherlands has announced a Global Fan Event in Amsterdam on June 17, the same Wednesday the new trailer is rumored to drop, and reportedly the same day tickets go on sale. Three big moments stacking on one date is no coincidence.
The event promises “a special reveal that will be shared worldwide,” with Tom Holland and Zendaya appearing in person alongside fans. Read between the lines and that worldwide reveal is almost certainly the trailer’s official debut.

June 17 Is Shaping Up Big
A new Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer leaked online over the weekend.
The studio looks to be building an event around the official release. Trailer, tickets, and a fan celebration all landing together give Sony one concentrated burst of attention right when it needs it.
The fan event itself is pitched as a full experience: Spider-Man activations, photo moments, live entertainment, and what the announcement teases as a “surprising finale.”
Sony Is Running Back The First Trailer’s Playbook
If a globe-spanning fan event sounds familiar, that’s because Sony did it before.
The first Brand New Day trailer launched in March with a first-of-its-kind 24-hour worldwide fan relay that followed the sunrise across time zones, capped by Tom Holland unveiling the full trailer at the top of the Empire State Building, the first time the landmark ever lit up for a trailer launch.
Holland was also there for his birthday (watch above).
A “Global Fan Event” with a “surprising finale” is clearly cut from the same cloth. Sony found a marketing formula that worked and is leaning into it again for round two.

One Catch
For now, the announcement comes from Sony Pictures Netherlands — a regional account — and the studio’s global and U.S. channels haven’t posted about it yet.
That broader rollout will presumably follow in the coming days, but it’s worth noting this surfaced through a single international outpost first.
Either way, the timing tracks. The new trailer is the exact catalyst Brand New Day needs after its first tracking numbers showed awareness slipping while interest held as the highest on the entire summer board.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters July 31.
