She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon are the latest characters confirmed for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, the upcoming side-scrolling beat ‘em up from Dotemu and Tribute Games in collaboration with Marvel Games.
The two heroes bring a mix of gamma-powered brute strength and chaotic firepower to the fight against Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave, joining previously announced characters like Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Nova, Phyla-Vell, and Venom.
More Firepower for the Annihilation War
Dotemu released a new trailer (watch below) revealing She-Hulk and Rocket in action. She-Hulk smashes through hordes of enemies while Rocket rains down destruction with his oversized guns. They’re the newest additions to a growing 15-character playable roster from across the Marvel Universe.
The game loosely adapts the Annihilation comic event from 2006 but throws in popular heroes like Spider-Man and Wolverine—who weren’t part of the original story—to help broaden its appeal.
Playable Roster So Far
Here’s who we know is playable so far:
- Nova
- Phyla-Vell
- Spider-Man
- Wolverine
- Captain America
- Storm
- Venom
- She-Hulk

With 15 total characters expected, fans are hoping for more cosmic heroes. Silver Surfer, Beta Ray Bill, and Wendell Vaughn’s Quasar should be no-brainers, right?!

Gameplay and Features
The game features retro pixel-style graphics and fast-paced, tag-team combat. Players pick two characters per level and instantly swap between them using the “Cosmic Swap” system to string together combos and unleash special attacks.
Both local and online multiplayer are supported, with drop-in/drop-out options for seamless co-op play.
“A cosmic battle awaits! Choose between 15 Marvel heroes in this frenetic action beat ’em up to fight against the deadly Annihilation Wave threatening the galaxy,” states the official info.
