Star Wars is back on the Nielsen charts with the release of the three-episode premiere of Andor Season 2, which actually performed better than the Season 1 premiere.
Following the release of The Acolyte, Star Wars disappeared from the Nielsen charts, as none of the episodes of Skeleton Crew made the charts.
However, we see Andor Season 2 has made the charts, and itās actually pretty high up there having made both the Nielsen āOriginalā and even the āOverallā charts. Itās safe to say that word-of-mouth due to Andor Season 1 being so good is to thank, and while Season 1 started off slow, if you finish the season, it turned out really good.

What are the ratings?
With the first three episodes of Season 2, Andor debuts at #4 on Nielsenās āOriginalā chart and #10 overall, racking up 721 million minutes.
That manages to beat the Season 1 three-episode premiere of 624.
The 721 million minutes also averages to 240.3, so even if Disney released two episodes (as it has done with various shows as of late), it would have made the āOriginalā chart with 480.
Itās probably safe to assume the rest of Andor Season 2 will make the charts as Disney is releasing the rest of the season in 3-episode arcs each week.

Fans send Disney the message
That said, I didnāt like the first three episodes of Andor Season 2 at all. I actually have yet to finish the series. Iām wondering if I am not alone? Weāll find out next week when Nielsen will release the numbers for the next three episodes. For what itās worth, I have heard the rest of the season gets good, so Iāll eventually get back to it.
Andorās return to the Nielsen charts should be a clear signal to Disney: put out quality content fans actually like, and theyāll show up, often in even bigger numbers, thanks to word-of-mouth. Letās hope the bozos are paying attention.
