Another Netflix-era Daredevil star is back for Daredevil: Born Again Season 3.
New set photos and video have hit social media and confirm that Elodie Yung is reprising her role as Elektra Natchios for the upcoming season, adding yet another familiar face to a cast that is increasingly looking like a full reunion of Marvel’s Netflix corner.
Yung was spotted filming on location, in costume as Elektra, marking the character’s first appearance in the series after sitting out the first two seasons of the Disney+ revival.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 is currently filming, with Marvel pressing ahead after the series went 0-for-17 on Nielsen across its first two seasons.
Elodie Yung Returns As Elektra
Yung originated the live-action version of Elektra in the Netflix Marvel universe, debuting in Daredevil Season 2 in 2016 before appearing in the 2017 crossover event The Defenders.
Her version of the character — a deadly assassin and Matt Murdock’s most complicated love interest — was a standout of the Netflix run, which makes her return one of the more significant pulls from that era so far.
The set photos show Yung back in an Elektra costume, picking the character up for the first time since the Netflix series concluded.
It is worth noting these are set photos rather than an official Marvel announcement, but on-location filming confirms Yung is part of the production.
The Netflix Roster Keeps Reassembling
Elektra’s return is the latest in a steady stream of Netflix-era casting for Season 3.
Set photos have already confirmed a full Defenders reunion, with Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter, and Finn Jones all returning as Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist alongside Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, the first time the team will share the screen since The Defenders.
Add Elektra to that lineup, and Season 3 is shaping up as the most comprehensive gathering of the old Netflix Marvel cast yet.
After years of Marvel Studios sorting out how much of that universe it wanted to officially fold into the MCU, Daredevil: Born Again has clearly become the home for it.
For Matt Murdock specifically, Elektra’s presence raises immediate questions. Her relationship with Daredevil was one of the defining threads of the Netflix series, and her return adds another emotional and combative wrinkle to a season that already has Wilson Fisk — who Vincent D’Onofrio says is “killing more than ever” — at its center.
What’s Coming In Daredevil: Born Again Season 3
Season 3 is filming now, with Marvel TV’s Brad Winderbaum having pointed to a 2027 release on Disney+.
The show’s action director, Philip Silvera, recently teased that fans are “going to be very surprised” by the new episodes, which he said are about halfway through production.
