Donald Trump Marvel's New Black Panther? Now Blond White Dude

Coming soon to Kevin Feige’s MCU?!

Marvel Comics has actually gone and done it, they’ve replaced Black Panther with a blond, white dude. Nope. It’s not a joke.

Black Panther as a white dude has actually been a funny meme for the past few years due to Marvel replacing all the original characters with DEI versions, most notably Anthony Mackie/Falcon as Captain America. So, since Marvel replaced everyone’s favorites with woke versions, fans have put it out there that they want Ryan Gosling as Black Panther.

And now that Marvel actually made it happen in the comics? Fans think it’s no longer just a meme, and they think Ryan Gosling might really be Marvel’s next Black Panther. Here’s why ➤.

While it was meant to be a joke – fans really don’t want that – Marvel has followed suit and in a new comic released this week, made the new Black Panther a white guy.

UPDATE: We’ve now got more info on Marvel’s White Black Panther — and surprise, he’s the villain. Read the full breakdown here ➤.

Marvel Knights: The World To Come Vol. 1 #1

What happened?

What exactly happens and how they explain things remains to be seen, but in Marvel Knights: The World To Come Vol. 1 #1, written by Christopher Priest with art by former Marvel Comics EIC Joe Quesada, the last page reveals Ketema taking off his mask, declaring himself as the new leader of Wakanda.

Bounding Into Comics got ahold of the issue pointing out:

Proclaiming “I am king now. Wakanda is MINE!”, the new Black Panther proceeds to remove his mask and reveal himself to his new subjects.

Who is Ketema, the new Black Panther?

Regarding just who Ketema is and how he’s a white dude, that hasn’t been explained. Apparently, T’Challa got divorced from Storm and then went back to his original fiancee, Monica Lynn, who became pregnant. However, the kicker is that Monica Lynn isn’t a white chick, she’s Black, so apparently that means she cheated on T’Challa with some other white dude (hey, I didn’t write this, guys, LOL).

Also up for question is where Marvel Knights: The World To Come stands in terms of Marvel continuity. I don’t know if it’s a “What If” universe or what have you, or if it takes place in the Marvel 616 (the synopsis below says 616).

Regardless, Wakanda has a new king and he’s a white dude. Gotta say, he also looks a little like Baron Trump?!

Marvel Comics has previously taken jabs at Donald Trump and used his likeness before in the comics. They’ve used him as MODOK. Also, the creator of Thanos has compared Trump to the Great Titan and even killed and chopped off Trump’s head in his comics.

In the MCU, following the death of Chadwick Boseman, Marvel decided against recasting and made Shuri the new Black Panther. Rumors offer T’Challa’s son will be the new Black Panther in Black Panther 3. Could Marvel Comics be foreshadowing the world to come in the MCU?!
