Netflix has officially renewed Wednesday for Season 3, just two weeks before the premiere of Season 2.
The news was shared on the streamer’s official X (formerly Twitter) account with a simple message: “She would never leave you hanging.”
Accompanied by a poster confirming the renewal, fans can now rest easy knowing the Addams family saga will continue beyond the upcoming season.
“Television has — and always will be — a team sport,” co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough told Netflix. “[Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”
“Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” added Gough. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”

Season 2 Drops Soon
Season 2 of Wednesday is set to roll out in two parts:
- Part 1 premieres August 6
- Part 2 follows on September 3
The next chapter sees Wednesday back at Nevermore Academy with new mysteries, returning allies, glitching psychic powers, and plenty of chaos.
A Hit That Keeps Going
Starring Jenna Ortega, the series quickly became one of Netflix’s biggest hits when it premiered in 2022. Season 1 still ranks among the streamer’s most-watched English-language series. With strong fan engagement and a steady stream of viral moments, a third season felt inevitable.
Netflix didn’t reveal a release window for Season 3 yet, but given the early renewal, production is likely already in motion or close to it.
