Netflix is keeping Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 alive.
The animated Stranger Things spinoff has officially been renewed for Season 2, with new episodes set to arrive this fall.
The renewal comes after the series debuted at No. 7 in Netflix’s Top 10 shows and landed among the top 15 animated series debuts of all time.
Netflix also says Seasons 1-5 of Stranger Things have now reached 1.5 billion cumulative views.

Hawkins Investigators Club Returns
Season 2 will bring back Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and Nikki for another adventure in Hawkins.
The voice cast includes Brooklyn Davey Norstedt as Eleven, Luca Diaz as Mike, Benjamin Plessala as Will, Braxton Quinney as Dustin, Elisha “EJ” Williams as Lucas, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport as Max, and Odessa A’zion as Nikki.
After the mystery uncovered in Season 1, the kids will now face a new paranormal threat connected to the town’s abandoned silver mines.

Season 2 Connects To The Blue Flower Mystery
Showrunner Eric Robles teased that the series is not treating each season as a standalone story.
“The danger isn’t just growing, it’s all linked,” Robles told Netflix, adding that each season is “not isolated” and is “very much connected.”
Robles said he is excited to return to the winter of 1985 and continue the Hawkins Investigators Club story.
“The Hawkins Investigators Club is back, and a new paranormal threat has emerged from the town’s abandoned silver mines,” he said.
Robles also teased that Season 2 will explore the entity and the mysterious blue flower seen blooming in the Upside Down at the end of Season 1.

Stranger Things Keeps Expanding
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the main series. Season 1 followed the kids after Eleven closed the gate at Hawkins Lab, with the horrors of the Upside Down believed to be fading.
Instead, something survived.
The animated series comes from showrunner Eric Robles, with Matt and Ross Duffer executive producing alongside Hilary Leavitt through Upside Down Pictures, Shawn Levy through 21 Laps, and Dan Cohen.
The Season 1 voice cast also includes Brett Gipson as Hopper, Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington, Janeane Garofalo as Anna Baxter, Lou Diamond Phillips as Daniel Fischer, Robert Englund as Cosmo, Alysia Reiner as Karen Wheeler, Alessandra Antonelli as Nancy Wheeler, Griffin Burns as Jonathan Byers, Valeria Rodriguez as Rosario, and Jack Griffo as Jeff.
Season 2 Hits Netflix This Fall
No exact release date has been announced yet, but Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 Season 2 will premiere on Netflix this fall.
With the main Stranger Things series now wrapped, Netflix is clearly keeping Hawkins open for business.
