Zack Snyder’s Justice League Now Dominates Netflix

Zack Snyder’s Justice League Now Dominates Netflix

The timing couldn’t be better for the case Snyder fans have been making all week.

Just days after Zack Snyder marked Man of Steel‘s anniversary by courting his international fanbase, Zack Snyder’s Justice League has landed on Netflix overseas and immediately exploded, trending in the Top 10 across 21 countries.

Snyder shared the news himself, and his cast and crew rushed to celebrate it.

Trending In 21 Countries

Snyder posted that Zack Snyder’s Justice League is “currently trending worldwide,” landing in the Top 10 on Netflix in 21 countries, including France, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, and more.

The numbers back it up. The film is currently trending on Netflix worldwide, as high as #8 last we checked, sharing the global top 10 with major studio titles and new Netflix originals. In some territories, it’s climbed even higher.

And this is a five-year-old movie. Originally released on HBO Max in March 2021, Zack Snyder’s Justice League is pulling these numbers in 2026, years after its debut.

It’s Not Even Available In The US

Here’s the detail that makes this so striking: this is an international Netflix release. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is not currently streaming on Netflix in the United States, domestic viewers still have to watch it on HBO Max.

So these 21 countries, this global Top 10 placement, this worldwide surge, all of it is happening without the US market even factored in. It’s a purely overseas phenomenon, driven entirely by Snyder’s international audience.

Which is exactly the point.

Zack Snyder Keeps Posting The DC Heroes Fans Still Want Back

The Foreign Audience Argument, Proven Again

We’ve been hammering this for a long time: Snyder’s DCEU has an enormous international following that the current DC films haven’t matched.

The box office told the story first. Man of Steel pulled $379 million overseas in 2013 — nearly $545 million adjusted for inflation — while James Gunn’s Superman (2025) managed a soft international run of roughly $256 million.

Then came Snyder’s Hindi Man of Steel poster for his India fans, which racked up 150,000 likes and outperformed every English-language post he shared.

Now Zack Snyder’s Justice League hits international Netflix and instantly charts in 21 countries. This isn’t a theory anymore, it’s a measurable, repeatable pattern.

The global audience for Snyder’s DC vision is real, it’s loyal, and it shows up every single time. We detailed this overseas loyalty, including the film’s earlier success in India, here.

Batman v Superman Cinematographer Says “Never Say Never” to SnyderVerse Return

The Cast And Crew Celebrate

The post drew immediate support from the people who made the film.

Ray Porter, who played Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, both liked and commented on the post. Larry Fong, Snyder’s longtime cinematographer, liked it.

So did Deborah Snyder, the film’s producer and Zack’s wife and producing partner.

In the comments, one fan praised the new ZSJL poster Snyder shared as “SUPERB work,” while others pointed out they’d already watched the film numerous times across HBO Max, Blu-ray, and digital and were happy to watch it again on Netflix.

The Bigger Picture

A five-year-old director’s cut charting in 21 countries on a platform where it isn’t even available domestically is the kind of result that’s hard to ignore — especially as the current DC films struggle to replicate that overseas pull.

The result lands at a notable moment. Both James Gunn and Matt Reeves are currently filming their own DC films — Gunn’s Man of Tomorrow and Reeves’ The Batman: Part II — as the studio works to define its next era.

It also comes as Gunn’s Supergirl heads to theaters under a cloud, with box office projections sliding as low as $45 million and the film at risk of not even winning its own opening weekend.

Yet it’s Snyder’s five-year-old Justice League, with no promotion behind it, that’s topping Netflix charts across the globe.

And as we’ve been reporting, that staying power could matter more than ever — with the Paramount-WBD deal in motion and our insiders saying a SnyderVerse return is in active discussion.

Five years on, the world is still watching Snyder’s Justice League. And the overseas numbers keep making the same argument his fans have made all along.
