The first Superman set video from Man of Tomorrow has hit the net, showing David Corenswet suited up as the Man of Steel for James Gunn’s DCU sequel.
The footage appears to show Corenswet filming a nighttime scene in full costume while suspended in the air, holding what looks like a blue object above his head.
The scene was shot on a city street with police cars, crew members, and production equipment nearby, in Atlanta.
It’s the latest look at Man of Tomorrow following James Gunn’s official image of Nicholas Hoult suited up in Lex Luthor’s Warsuit.
David Corenswet Returns As Superman
The set video marks the first real look at Corenswet back in costume for Man of Tomorrow.
The suit appears to be the same Superman costume from Gunn’s Superman, complete with the red trunks, cape, and brighter DCU color scheme.
The scene doesn’t give away much about the plot, but it does show Superman in action as filming continues.
Corenswet returns after leading Superman, which launched Gunn and Peter Safran’s new DCU on the big screen.
Superman Filming Night Scene
The footage shows Superman raised above the street while holding the object overhead.
Since this is raw set footage, the final shot will likely look much different after visual effects are added.
The setup could involve Superman lifting, catching, or carrying something during an action sequence. The blue object may also be a stand-in prop or rigging piece used for the shot.
For now, the main takeaway is simple: Superman is officially back on set, and Man of Tomorrow is moving forward.

Lex Luthor Warsuit Revealed First
The set video arrives after Gunn released the first official look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor in his Warsuit.
Gunn posted the image from the set with the caption, “Fit check. Live from the set of Man of Tomorrow.”
The image showed Hoult inside a large green armored suit with a dome helmet, giving fans the live-action Lex Luthor Warsuit they’ve wanted to see for years.
In the comics, Lex’s Warsuit lets him physically challenge Superman. The armor usually gives Lex enhanced strength, flight, weapons, and protection strong enough to survive a fight with the Man of Steel.

Man of Tomorrow Cast And Release Info
Man of Tomorrow is directed by James Gunn and is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 9, 2027.

Man of Tomorrow Keeps Getting Bigger
Between Lex Luthor’s Warsuit, Brainiac, Supergirl, and now the first set video of Corenswet’s Superman, Man of Tomorrow already looks like a much bigger DCU movie than Superman.
The first film introduced Gunn’s version of the Man of Steel. Man of Tomorrow looks ready to throw him into a larger comic book story, with Lex forced into the fight instead of just pulling strings from the sidelines.
