Mia Goth is the villain

Best known for her roles in Pearl, Infinity Pool, and MaXXXine, Mia Goth is making the leap from indie horror and psychological thrillers to big-budget sci-fi action. She also stars in Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein and Christopher Nolan’s upcoming The Odyssey.

While her role hasn’t been confirmed by Lucasfilm, Jeff Sneider and sources for THR state she will playing one of the film’s primary villains, which fits with her reputation for intense, often unsettling characters.

Previous rumors pointed to a male and female villain duo pursuing the main characters, and several actresses reportedly passed on the role before it landed with Goth.
