Ryan Reynolds Responds To New Deadpool Neil Patrick Harris

Following the announcement of the new Deadpool VR game featuring Neil Patrick Harris as the voice of the Merc with a Mouth, Ryan Reynolds responds accordingly.

Of course, Reynolds brought Deadpool to fame on the big screen, most recently pairing with Hugh Jackman in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Ryan Reynolds learned a lesson

In a promo for the game release, Reynolds released a funny video of himself reacting to Neil Patrick Harris, who voices Deadpool in the game.

“Today I learned a less about buttholes they don’t teach you in media school,” he narrates. “People who steal your signature role are the biggest buttholes of all.”

Reynolds then plugs Meta Quest adding, “No. I don’t blame Meta Quest. Neil Patrick Harris is an amazing actor with the nurturing voice of an angel, but even though I haven’t hit puberty yet, I still know when you’re getting totally screwed.”

Deadpool VR game details

Marvel’s Deadpool VR game gets released later in 2025, only on Meta Quest 3/3S.

Watch the trailer below. Here is the description:

RED BAND This trailer is not for the faint of heart so put on your big kid undies and strap in for a violent, expletive-ridden good time. After being pulled through a portal to Mojoworld, Deadpool sees a chance to get rich—like really rich. He signs a sketchy contract without reading any of the fine print and then it’s off to visit a bunch of locations from across the Marvel Universe, battling against iconic (and not-so-iconic) villains. Featuring the franchise’s unique blend of parkour and combat: If you can imagine it, you can probably do it. Sure, you can simply stab or shoot your enemies, but where’s the fun in that? Punch someone while holding a grenade? Check. Take your recently exploded-off arm and throw it at the bad guys? Gross, but also check. The limit does not exist! Featuring Neil Patrick Harris as Deadpool, experience parkour and combat with over-the-top moments like only the merc with the mouth can pull off.
