Smile 2 is laughing all the way to the top of the box office, but just like last week, the same can’t be said for Joker 2 which plummets to #6 in its third weekend.
Smile 2 at #1
Smile 2, the sequel to the 2022 horror movie brought in $23 million this past weekend domestically, giving it the #1 spot at the box office. Add another $23M from foreign grosses and the flick has already blew buy its reported $28M budget. The first one made over $217 million with a reported $17M budget. Cha-ching!
Smile 2 also has decent Rotten Tomatoes Scores for a horror flick, with 84% from the critics and 83% from the fans, an improvement on the first movie’s 80% and 77% scores. It’s also received a “B” CinemaScore, again, a good grade for horror.
