A24 Studios has released the trailer for The Legend of Ochi which shares similar themes with movies such as E.T., Gremlins, How to Train Your Dragon, and the like.
The flick is from filmmaker Isaiah Saxon who is known for directing Bjork music videos. Traci Carlson and Richard Peete of Neighborhood Watch are producing. Starring in the movie includes Helena Zengel, Finn Wolfhard, Emily Watson, and Willem Dafoe. A release date hasn’t been announced. Watch below.
What is The Legend of Ochi about?
The poster teases, “Something else is out there.”
The trailer reveals that a young girl, Yuri (Zengel), is growing up on an island in the Black Sea where dangerous creatures known as the Ochi come out at night. The girl happens to find what looks like a young Ochi and befriends the little creature. Her father, Maxim (Dafoe), and brother Petro (Wolfhard), hunt the Ochi and chase after the girl who is trying to save the creature.
