Watch Christian Bale’s Batman Audition With Man of Steel’s Amy Adams

New video has surfaced online of Christian Bale’s Batman audition where we see not only is the actor using Val Kilmer’s bat-suit, but Amy Adams is present as well.

The video is a special feature from the The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray.

We learn Amy Adams did the producers a favor and participated in the screen test. Prior to Batman Begins, Amy Adams auditioned for Lois Lane at least a couple times, and now we see she helped them out with Christian Bale.

It’s interesting to note Henry Cavill also auditioned for Superman and eventually got the gig. Regarding Ben Affleck, he’s been eyed by Warner Bros. for a while as well and is the new Batman. Wonder who could be next?

Jake Gyllenhaal was also a favorite of writer’s David Goyer’s to play Batman, but Nolan went with Bale. We see Nolan make specific mention of Bale using the different voice, which may have landed him the role.

Video featuring Christopher Nolan from the Blu-Ray surfaced as well with the director talking about his realistic take on the Batman movies.

Check out video of Christian Bale and Amy Adams for the Batman audition below.

Christopher Nolan Clip From The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray goes on sale September 24th, and now a clip has become available with director Christopher Nolan.

In the clip, Nolan talks how his Batman movies feature a heightened realistic take and are operatic in nature.

“But it’s about what I suppose you might term a cinematic reality,” Nolan explains to USA Today. “It’s about giving the world of the films and the characters as much weight and validity as they would if your source material were not a comic book — if he was a character in another genre of film you were having to introduce to the audience for the first time and get them to believe it. That’s what my use of the reality is about. It’s not about a literal reality.”

Check out more from Christopher Nolan below.

The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition includes “The Fire Rises: The Creation and Impact of the Dark Knight Trilogy,” with Guillermo del Toro, Damon Lindelof and Zack Snyder; a Nolan and Superman director Richard Donner taling about bringing iconic superheroes to the big screen; the IMAX sequences in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises; a trio of Hot Wheels  the Tumbler, Batpod and The Bat vehicles; collectible art cards and a 48-page hardcover book.

The Ultimate Edition can be ordered through Amazon at a discount.

Listen & Watch The Man of Steel Aquaman Easter Egg Scene (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:10343:]]

With the Man of Steel Blu-Ray being released included is a version of the movie with commentary from director Zack Snyder.

Both Snyder and Goyer seem to have gone silent following the premiere of the movie, but I’m curious to see if Snyder addresses ALL the Easter Eggs in Man of Steel in the Blu-Ray.

I’m not sure if either Goyer or Snyder directly addressed the following scene, or if it’s just fans looking into something that may or may not be there, but in case you missed it the first time, here is the Man of Steel Oil Rig scene where Clark ends up in the water where we hear the sound of whales.

Fans think it’s Aquaman checking up on the Oil Rig disaster and the mysterious super man in the sea!

The Man of Steel Blu-Ray becomes available November 12th, and it’s also become known that Aquman will be featuring in his own animated movie.

Oblivion Blu-Ray Deleted Scene Now Online

Below you can check out a deleted scene from the Oblivion Blu-Ray that is now available.

The scene features Tom Cruise and Andrea Riseborough.

I recently saw the film and thought it was pretty fantastic.

I know our own Lawrence Napoli wasn’t too impressed with Oblivion, but if you are a fan of The Matrix, Tron, 2001: A Space Odyssey you might enjoy it.

The music score also borrows heavily from Hans Zimmer’s Batman movies, which didn’t bother me in the least bit.

It’s directed by Joseph Kosinski.

(via Huffington Post)

Synopsis:

Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion, an original and groundbreaking cinematic event from thedirector of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. On a spectacular future Earth that has evolved beyond recognition, one man’s confrontation with the past will lead him on a journey of redemption and discovery as he battles to save mankind. Jack Harper (Cruise) is one of the last few drone repairmen stationed on Earth. Part of a massive operation to extract vital resources after decades of war with a terrifyingthreat known as the Scavs, Jack’s mission is nearly complete. Living and patrolling the breathtaking skies from thousands of feet above, his soaring existence is brought crashing down when he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft. Her arrival triggers a chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows and puts the fate of humanity in his hands.
