Capcom has dropped a full arsenal of reveals for Resident Evil Requiem during its latest showcase event, including all-new gameplay footage, high-end brand partnerships, and platform release details—confirming the game’s worldwide launch on February 27, 2026.
Leon and Grace Lead Dual Campaigns of Horror and Action
Resident Evil Requiem stars two playable protagonists: FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft and fan-favorite DSO agent Leon S. Kennedy. Players can switch between first- and third-person perspectives for a mix of survival horror and dynamic action gameplay.
- Leon Kennedy wields firearms, executes brutal hatchet and chainsaw attacks, and performs finishing moves.
- Grace Ashcroft begins in a zombie-infested sanatorium with limited inventory, crafting tools from infected blood, and makes use of the powerful—but scarce—Requiem revolver.
Players will also face off against zombies who retain bizarre fragments of their former lives—like a chef still obsessed with cooking—adding eerie strategy to enemy encounters.
The story centers around the mysterious term “Elpis,” tying together Grace’s past, the death of her mother Alyssa Ashcroft, and Leon’s current mission.

Difficulty Modes Cater to Casual and Hardcore Fans
Requiem offers multiple difficulty settings:
- Casual Mode includes aim assist and forgiving damage levels.
- Classic Mode brings back Ink Ribbons for saving as Grace and more intense survival elements.
