Giancarlo Esposito, who recently starred in Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World, is sounding the alarm about rising political tension in the United States, and he’s placing the blame squarely on Donald Trump and other world leaders.
“This is time for a revolution — and they don’t even know that’s what they’re starting,” Esposito said Tuesday night at the Sundance Film Festival.
The Marvel actor made the comments during the premiere of his new indie film The Only Living Pickpocket in New York, a crime thriller in which Esposito plays the lead.

Actor Slams Trump and “Rich Old White Men” for Civil Unrest
In a fiery interview with Variety, the Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian star warned of a growing sense of unrest.
“Some very rich old white men are exerting their power to suppress our own people, thus creating a feeling of civil war in the streets, preparing the haters to hate, teaching them how to shoot. This is all a preparation for a very insidious problem that’s happening in our world,” he said.

He didn’t hold back in targeting Trump’s White House specifically, saying: “They can’t take us all down. If the whole world showed up on Putin’s doorstep or the Iranians’ doorstep or in Washington, they’d kill 500 or 50 million or however [many], but the rest of us would survive with a new [world].”

Blames Global Leaders and Calls Out U.S. Immigration Policies
Esposito also referenced immigration enforcement in the U.S., declaring, “We will not be ICE’d out. This is not going to happen.”
