Paul Jenkins Returns to The Sentry in New Marvel Comics Limited Series

Paul Jenkins is returning to The Sentry, the Marvel character he co-created, with a brand-new four-issue limited series launching this March.

Marvel Comics announced that The Sentry #1 will debut on March 18, written by Jenkins with art by Christian Rosado.

It marks Jenkins’ first ongoing Marvel work in more than a decade and brings him back to the character that helped redefine Marvel’s psychological superhero storytelling in the early 2000s.

Paul Jenkins Reunites With His Creation

Originally introduced in 2000, The Sentry quickly became one of Marvel’s most complex characters, blending godlike power with severe mental instability.

Jenkins’ return signals a renewed focus on that core idea, especially the ongoing struggle between the Sentry and his dark counterpart, the Void.

Marvel describes the series as a high-stakes story centered on the resurfacing of the Void, threatening reality itself.

The conflict forces the Sentry to confront not just cosmic threats and criminal empires, but the destructive force within his own mind.

Guest Stars Include Spider-Man, Reed Richards, and Kingpin

The limited series will feature appearances from major Marvel characters including Reed Richards, Spider-Man, and Wilson Fisk.

According to Marvel, the story hinges on “impossible choices and devastating consequences,” with the Sentry facing the ultimate question of whether saving everything is worth losing everything he loves.

The Sentry’s Expanding Marvel Presence

The comic arrives after the character’s live-action debut earlier this year in Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts* and ahead of his confirmed return in Avengers: Doomsday, scheduled for December 2026.

With renewed attention across comics and film, Marvel appears to be positioning the Sentry for a larger role moving forward.
