No Obi-Wan: Ewan McGregor Not in Ahsoka Season 2

No Obi-Wan: Ewan McGregor Not in Ahsoka Season 2

Apparently, fans got their info mixed up; however, it is confirmed Ahsoka Season 2 will not feature Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

What happened?

What happened is that the actor recently appeared over the weekend at Fan Expo Boston. McGregor talked how his wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, was filming Ahsoka Season 2. Fans apparently mistook what McGregor said and thought he meant he was filming for Ahsoka Season 2.

Ewan McGregor actually said while responding to a fan question about his favorite Star Wars series that he is not involved with:

“Well, I like watching my wife, you know, so I really enjoyed Ahsoka. I thought that was brilliantly done. It’s so funny, like, you know, she’s shooting the second season now, and I know. Is that a secret?”

Furthermore, the Star Wars fan site Star Wars News Net also says reps for Lucasfilm got back to them and said it’s all a misunderstanding.
