A new rumor again suggests that Ewan McGregor may be returning as Obi-Wan Kenobi in Season 2 of Ahsoka.
The speculation comes from a series of posts spotted online by the Star Wars fan site Bespin Bulletin, which appear to belong to a stunt performer working on the series.
One particular comment has caught the attention of fans as it seemingly references McGregor being on set.

Stuntman Comment Sparks Obi-Wan Speculation
In a social media reply discussing favorite Star Wars movies, the stunt performer wrote: “When asked what my favorite Star Wars movie is, the one where I got to have a go in an AT-AT was pretty great. But I also really enjoyed the Imperial Star Destroyers. Oh, and when Ewan let me hold Ahsoka’s Lightsaber. That was definitely a favorite Star Wars moment :).”
The mention of “Ewan” immediately sparked speculation that the actor was present during production, possibly reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi for Ahsoka Season 2.
If true, the appearance would likely be brief and possibly tied to a Force vision, flashback, or a moment involving the Force, as Obi-Wan died decades before the timeline of the Ahsoka series.
Worth a mention is that McGregor’s wife, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, stars in Ahsoka as Hera Syndulla, so McGregor could have been on set supporting his wife. Back in August, fans thought something similar, but McGregor revealed he was on set simply because his wife stars in the series.

Obi-Wan And Ahsoka Share Anakin Connection
That said, an Obi-Wan appearance would also make sense from a story perspective. Both Obi-Wan and Ahsoka share a deep connection through Anakin Skywalker.
Season 1 of Ahsoka already brought back Hayden Christensen as Anakin in the mysterious World Between Worlds sequence, which allowed the show to revisit the Clone Wars era.
Christensen has also been confirmed for Season 2.
Bringing Obi-Wan into the mix would continue that theme of exploring Anakin’s past through the people closest to him.
Ahsoka Season 2 is due to premiere later this year on Disney+.
