Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto Sign On For Star Trek 4

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21162:]]

The third Star Trek film, speculated to be titled Star Trek Beyond, recently started filming a few days ago, and now it’s learned plans for the fourth film of the Abrams franchise are in development.

THR reports Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto have beamed aboard Star Trek 4.

The report mentions Chris Pine has received a hefty raise from a mere $600,000 for the 2009 Star Trek movie to $1.5 million for Star Trek Into Darkness to a hefty $6 million for Star Trek 3.

Specifics for Quinto aren’t mentioned, but it’s stated a condition of the raises for Pine and Quinto was that they signed for a fourth Star Trek movie as Paramount wants to keep keep one of “Hollywood’s most iconic pairings,” Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock, intact.

Star Trek 3 is currently filming in Vancouver and has a July 8, 2016 release directed by Justin Lin.

Ant-Man Has Post-Credit Scenes; Avenger Appearance Confirmed

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21161:]]

Ant-Man has not one, but two post-credit scenes, so you will definitely want to stay through the credits.

Various media sites, who were allowed advanced screenings, are reporting the Ant-Man post-credit scenes tease Marvel’s Phase 3, which kicks off with Captain America: Civil War next May.

SHH states the first Ant-Man post-credit scene teases a possible character that might be featured in a future Marvel movie.

The second Ant-Man post-credit scene is said to directly link to one of the other upcoming Marvel movies as well.

It’s also confirmed an Avenger makes an apperance in the Ant-Man movie, but just which one remains a mystery for now.

Ant-Man” has a July 17, 2015 release directed by Peyton Reed starring Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne and Corey Stoll as Darren Cross/Yellowjacket.

Synopsis:

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

Evangeline Lilly Calls Kirkman’s Ant-Man “Total Crap”

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21159:]]

Evangeline Lilly is playing Hope Van Dyne, daughter to Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, in the Ant-Man movie.

Lilly recently spoke with Collider where she admitted she wasn’t too familiar with the Marvel universe other than having watched Iron Man.

Evangeline Lilly says in her attempt to learn more about Ant-Man, someone gave her a batch of Ant-Man comics, which she says were “total crap.”

No, it wasn’t. I am still trying to figure out how to get my hands on original ‘Ant-Man’ comics, where you get them. I’ve been given a couple recent ‘Ant-Man’ comics. No offense Marvel, but they are total crap. I really want to read the original ones, because I got through two and I was like, dude, you can’t force-feed me another one of these magazines. It was terrible. But Janet’s not in them, and neither is Hank and neither is Scott. It’s just a completely different fabrication. So if anybody has any old ‘Ant-Man’ comics they want to lend me…

Based on Lilly’s description of the Ant-Man comics, we can speculate she is talking about The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman’s run on Irreedeemable Ant-Man as Kirkman’s comic featured Eric O’Grady (the most recent Nick Spencer Ant-Man comic features Scott Lang).

A quick check of the Marvel Digital Comics store reveals Ant-Man and Tales To Astonish issues are in stock. Can somebody get Evangeline Lilly a digital subscription?

“God, dang. It sure looks like me. Doesn’t it,” Morgan replied when Kimmel asked if it was him in the picture. “I think you probably have to go watch the movie to see if that’s me, but it looks a lot like me, man.”

“Jared sent us gifts. He sent Harley [Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it—a live rat. It was beautiful. Then he sent bullets to Will [Smith] and a letter… And a dead hog and a video of him in character… Basically [to] all of us. What he said was ‘guys, I can’t be there, but I want you to know I am doing my work as hard as you guys.’ And the video he showed us in character blew our minds away. We realized that day, this is real.”

Beach also stated the letters Leto wrote were “Joker-esque.”

Suicide Squad” has an August 5, 2016 release date directed by David Ayer starring Will Smith as Deadshot, Jared Leto as the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Karen Fukuhara as Katana, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo, and Scott Eastwood in an unknown role.

William Hurt Would Love To Play Red Hulk In Captain America: Civil War (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21152:]]

While the Hulk wasn’t a part of the original Civil War Marvel Comics storyline, perhaps each side in the superhero squabble will have their own in the movie.

Mark Ruffalo is yet to be confirmed, but recently Robert Downey Jr. has been making hints about the inclusion of the Hulk actor in Captain America: Civil War, and with William Hurt announced returning as Thaddeus Ross, many fans online have been speculating about an appearance of the Red Hulk.

The WSJ caught up with Hurt and asked him about the possibility of the Red Hulk in Captain America: Civil War, which Hurt says he would definitely be open to playing.

Here’s the blurb:

“It’s very very different from the other [Incredible] Hulk. It’s really different. It’s done differently, and the style is completely modernized. So, I’m not playing the graphic novel version of Thaddeus Ross. I’m playing… a better suit.”

Regarding Red Hulk:

“I don’t know, I wouldn’t mind feeling like I had that much power. I created Thaddeus originally as an ego the same size as the monsters, with the same degree of messed-upness. Yeah, I’d love to have a shot at it.”

Watch the video for more from William Hurt:

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Watch: Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension Trailer

The full trailer for Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, the last movie of the franchise, has been released.

The film has an October 23, 2015 release directed by Gregory Plotkin starring Nathan Brewer and Jay Hieron.

Previously released info about the plot (via USA Today) includes:

The Ghost Dimension will answer the bevy of questions at the core of the demonic mystery which have lingered throughout the series. Paranormal Activity 2 (2010), Paranormal Activity 3 (2011), Paranormal Activity 4 (2012) and offshoot Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) left devoted fans demanding answers about the root of the modern-day hauntings and the mysterious demon Toby.

The Ghost Dimension, directed by Gregory Plotkin, follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage.

When they look through the camera’s lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.

“We couldn’t go just teasing,” says Blum. “All the questions that everyone has asked from the past Paranormal Activity films: What does Toby look like? What’s the backstory to the families? These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered.”

Even Toby will be revealed after remaining unseen in previous films.

“We’ve done well without showing Toby, being able to create tensions and scares based on audiences’ imagination,” says producer Oren Peli. “But people are very curious.”

Magus Rumored For The Avengers: Infinity War

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21146:]]

The Magus is stated to be appearing in The Avengers: Infinity War.

The info comes from the Action Auditions casting call website that states the Magus will have a major role along with Thanos.

Here is the blurb:

Auditions are now getting underway for the Marvel Studios feature film ‘Avengers: Infinity War – Part I’ lead and supporting roles. The auditions for new lead and supporting roles will be taking place in Los Angeles, CA. The film is the first in a two-part sequel in which Thanos plays a major role, along with the Magus. Adam Warlock’s bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth’s heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil. “Avengers: Infinity War – Part I” will be shot entirely on the IMAX/ARRI 2D digital camera.

Obviously, if this info is legit, the inclusion of the Magus means Adam Warlock will get introduced at some point (Magus is the future version of Adam Warlock), with many fans online speculating Adam Warlock to be introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Regarding the description of the Magus, the info may not specifically pertain to the movie as it’s basically a description of the Infinity War Marvel comic; however, of course, anything is possible.

Long story short, in the Infinity comics, Thanos assists the Earth heroes and Adam Warlock in battling the Magus, who has aquired not only five extra-dimensional cosmic cubes, but eventually the Infinity Gauntlet as well.

The Avengers Infinity War Part 1 is due out May 4, 2018, with Part 2 on May 3, 2019.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 hits May 5, 2017.
