Godzilla: King of the Monsters Teases Destoroyah

Godzilla: King of the Monsters Teases Destoroyah

The next Godzilla movie has already teased Mothra, Rodan and Ghidorah, and now Destoroyah might be added to the mix!

Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty took to Twitter to tease something rather interesting in the form of the Oxygen Destroyer used in the original 1954 movie to kill Godzilla.

It’s probably a safe bet that Michael Dougherty isn’t killing off Godzilla in the movie, as he would have just spoiled it (lol), but it is likely that Dougherty is actually teasing none other than Destoroyah who was created with use of the O2 Destroyer in the 1995 movie, Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.

Destoroyah actually appeared in three forms in the movie with his final version standing twice the size of Godzilla and sporting bat-like wings with large curved horns on its head, a humanoid body structure, with a long tail and pincer!

The new Godzilla movie is titled King of the Monsters, so the film will definitely have more than one kaiju!

Destroyah Roars

Godzilla: King of the Monsters has a March 22, 2019 release directed by Michael Dougherty starring Vera Farmiga, Charles Dance, KyleChandler, Bradley Whitford, Thomas Middleditch, Sally Hawkins, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ziyi Zhang, Ken Watanabe and Millie BobbyBrown.

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species — thought to be mere myths — rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.”
