Production has officially started on Evil Dead Burn, the next installment in the long-running horror franchise.
Filming Confirmed by Director Sébastien Vaniček
French filmmaker Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) confirmed the news by posting a clapboard on Instagram with the caption “DAY 1 – FROM 93 TO NZ,” signaling the start of production in New Zealand. The hashtag #EvilDeadBurn accompanied the post, confirming the film’s title.
What We Know About Evil Dead Burn
While official plot details remain under wraps, Evil Dead Burn is expected to follow the franchise’s signature mix of supernatural horror and bloody violence. The film follows 2023’s Evil Dead Rise, which brought in $147 million globally and helped reignite fan interest in the series.

Vaniček’s experience with claustrophobic horror in Infested could bring a new edge to the franchise. Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell are returning as producers. Though Campbell won’t reprise his role as Ash, he continues to guide the series creatively behind the scenes.
