Hugh Jackman Shares Image With Ryan Reynolds

Deadpool Red-Band Trailer #2

There is still no confirmation Hugh Jackman appears in the Deadpool movie as Wolverine, but the clues have been put out there.

Now the latest clue is that Hugh Jackman has posted an image on his social networks of himself along with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.

“Seriously, Mate. You’ve got to stop following me. SECURITY!!!” Jackman posted on Twitter.

Other potential clues include the Deadpool 12 Days Of Christmas campaign including Wolverine, the Deadpool Facebook page teasing Wolverine, and even Hugh Jackman previously teasing Deadpool.

Check out the Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds image below.

“Deadpool” has a February 12, 2016 release directed by Tim Miller starring Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, TJ Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax.

Synopsis:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Hugh Jackman Recommends Taron Egerton As New Wolverine

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:24032:]]

While promoting his latest movie, Eddie the Eagle, Hugh Jackman also talks about playing Wolverine and the Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie.

“Love it. It’s just brilliant. I mean, I love Ryan, he’s a good mate of mine. He’s so fantastic,” Jackman told Yahoo with mention Wolverine could “a hundred percent” take down Deadpool in a fight.

Jackman is asked about potentially playing Wolverine in a sequel to Deadpool (it’s suspected Jackman makes a cameo in the first one), with Jackman stating that other actors will be up to play the new Wolverine and points to his Eddie the Eagle co-star Taron Egerton as a possibility.

“I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me. But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine]… probably you [Taron Egerton],” Jackman said.

Egerton, who also stars in The Kingsman: Secret Service, jokingly replied back: “I don’t think I’ve quite got the facial hair for it.”

Hugh Jackman also let it be known the script for his last Wolverine movie is just about done and previously mentioned Tom Hardy as another potential Wolverine.

Fans have also thrown Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe into the mix.

“Eddie the Eagle” hits February 26th.

Hugh Jackman Offers Update On Wolverine 3 Script (Video)

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21498:]]

Hugh Jackman offers an update on the untitled 2017 Wolverine movie in the following video. Worth a mention is that Jackman again states it’s his last Wolverine movie. Following Hugh Jackman seemingly teasing a “Wolverine 4” on social networks, many fans thought Hugh Jackman might not be done just yet, but that now doesn’t seem to be the cast.

Hugh Jackman is also thought to be appearing in next month’s Deadpool movie and maybe even the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie.

Here’s the blurb:

HUGH JACKMAN: We have a script. A full script. To tell you, two days ago I got that the full finished—well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close—as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps…yeah, it’s sooner rather than later.

TARON EGERTON: Also, the pecs are expanding as well.

JACKMAN: I have had six meals today already.

JACKMAN: I don’t have a firm date yet. My thing, and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go.

Sounds Like Hugh Jackman Wolverine Cameo For X-Men: Apocalypse

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23948:]]

In addition to a heavily speculated appearance in next month’s Deadpool movie, it’s again being said Hugh Jackman may also appear in X-Men: Apocalypse as Wolverine.

About three months ago saw word hit that Hugh Jackman is participating in reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Now set visit reports have hit the net, and while none of them confirm the appearance of Hugh Jackman in X-Men: Apocalypse, they neither discount the rumor.

The Collider reports:

No one would confirm or deny whether Hugh Jackman has a cameo in the film as Wolverine—out of everything, this was the tightest secret kept on set.

Obviously it seems if it’s a “tight kept secret,” it more than likley confirms the involvement of Jackman in some capacity.

Hugh Jackman is supposed to be retiring from the Wolverine role re-teaming with James Mangold for a 2017 untitled Wolverine film (featuring possibly Old Man Logan, bersker rage and Sabretooth); however, the actor recently took to his social networks to tease a “Wolverine 4.”

“X-Men: Apocalypse” has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor & Ben Hardy.

Synopsis:

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

How About Daniel Radcliffe As Wolverine?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23849:]]

With Hugh Jackman retiring from the Wolverine role (or not), who should be the next actor to play the role?

I’ve previously recommended Tom Hardy (as has Hugh Jackman), but now fans on Reddit have brought up another name — Harry Potter‘s Daniel Radcliffe.

Before you snub your nose at the thought, bear in mind Radcliffe is arguably closer to the comic book version of Wolverine than Hugh Jackman, as Radcliffe is a lot shorter in real life (and just as hairy).

As some of the fans pointed out, pack some muscle on Daniel Radcliffe, and we might have our next Wolverine.

Regarding Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Hugh Jackman is thought to be appearing in Deadpool, possibly participated in reshoots for X-Men: Apocalypse and will star in the sequel to The Wolverine in 2017. Jackman may have also teased Wolverine 4.

Marvel Comics Teaser: Beware My Sting

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23806:]]

Following Tuesday’s “Dead No More” teaser, Marvel Comics has released a “Beware My Sting” teaser image.

It was initially thought the teasers might have something to do with Secret Wars #9; however, the issue has since been released where it appears the teaser images have nothing to do with the issue.

The next guess is Wolverine, as the “Dead No More” font seems to match the font for Wolverine, but “Beware My Sting” doesn’t seem to hint at the berserker raging mutie.

Now it’s assumed the two teasers may be related to Eric O’Grady, Ant-Man, who died in the pages of Secret Avengers back in 2012. Wasp is also featured in All-New Wolverine #5, which might play into things.

Chris Evans Wants Captain America To Interact With Wolverine

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23739:]]

Back last Summer saw a rumor hit that an Avengers and X-Men movie is being planned for 2020.

While the validity of the rumor must be questioned due to the properties being owned by different studios, we now hear from Chris Evans who mentions Wolverine.

At this weekend’s Wizard World New Orleans comic-con, the members of the Captain America: Civil War panel were asked, with all the new characters coming up, who would they like to interact with from the Marvel Universe?

Chris Evans responded with Wolverine.

“I would say Wolverine. I don’t know if that would ever happen, but in the Marvel world, wouldn’t that be fun?” Evans said. “Wouldn’t that be a great little blend, a crossover. Because we don’t have enough crossovers, but still. That would be great.”

Evans also previously offered earlier in the panel that he would like another Fox-owned character by his side — The Human Torch.

The other panelists responded to the question as well:

Mackie: I would say She-Thor. Nothing weird. Nothing weird.

Atwell: Black Widow, for me. For sure.

Grillo: Spider-Man. I love Spider-Man.

Joe Russo: You haven’t interacted with Spider-Man?

Grillo: I have interacted with Spider-Man, but it’s none of your business. [laughter]

Renner: Oh, Mockingbird. That’s pretty good.

Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Hugh Jackman Holding Out Until Last Wolverine Is Done Right (Video)

Earlier saw Hugh Jackman recommend Tom Hardy as the next Wolverine, and now in the above video Jackman talks about his last time as the adamantium clawed bersker.

First Hugh Jackman comments on Patrick Stewart reprising as Professor Xavier offering he wants to see something from Professor X that hasn’t been done before with mention of a father/son relationship with Logan. Jackman also mentions the script isn’t complete, but the treatment is, which he is “90% happy” with.

Here is the Patrick Stewart blurb:

“I’ll be really honest with you, the actual script in its full form we’re up to about page 60. Obviously there’s a treatment, so it’s not fully done yet. We’re not fully there. Patrick does figure in it, that’s for sure. I think it’s a really important relationship, but I want to see signs of that quasi-father/son sort of relationship that has not been seen before, and sides of particularly Professor X that have not been seen before. So we have some really, really cool ideas.”

As Jackman mentioned the script isn’t complete, he says he isn’t committing to the movie unless he is sure everything is going to be done right. Jackman does mention he is currently in training and dieting for the role, and if everything goes right, they should start shooting next year.

“…this is the last time I am playing him. I’ve just made the commitment to myself really, and told everyone until that script is perfect, until it is that perfect way to sign out, I’m not going to start shooting…

“I’m trying to do something with this that is a little special, a little different. I’ve got a very, very strong idea of what that is. I really have known for quite a long time how I want to finish this, sort of odyssey that I’ve been on, this amazing journey, and I won’t let it fall anywhere in between. I won’t fall short of it.”

The untitled Wolverine sequel has a planned 2017 release with James Mangold returning to direct.

That’s a great question. I haven’t really given it a lot of thought. I’ve bee asked the question a lot, and I’m like ‘I don’t want to make it too easy on the studio to replace me. I’ve still got one more to do. I’m sure they’re already talking about it. There’s some actor out there that’s already said “Shhh. Keep it quiet, but we want you next.” He’s younger than me for sure. I think Tom Hardy would be a great…

As noted, Hugh Jackman will be back one more time as Wolverine in the untitled 2017 movie which also sees director James Mangold return.

As you may have heard …. It’s my last time putting on the claws. What do you want to see happen? 50 words or less. I will read as many as possible. #ONELASTTIME

It’s being said that Hugh Jackman will be featured in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Presently, it’s not clear whether or not Jackman will be reprising as Wolverine; neither Jackman nor Bryan Singer have confirmed an appearance.

However, a possible confirmation comes from a prop maker who posted an image on Instagram mentioning they are making the prop for Hugh Jackman’s appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse.

Kikany custom leather goods states they are designing a special leather duffle bag for Hugh Jackman “who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal.”

Below you can see designs for the bag.

Hugh Jackman has already let it be known that his last portrayal as Wolverine will be in the sequel to The Wolverine which hits March 3, 2017.

Maybe we’ll see Jackman at least one more time before that?

Watch: Hugh Jackman Talks Leaving Wolverine

Hugh Jackman recently appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Michael where the actor talked about leaving the role of Wolverine and doing his last movie as the character.

Jackman will reteam with James Mangold for the sequel to The Wolverine that has a March 3, 2017 release.

Jackman is asked what made him decide to leave, with Jackman recounting a conversation he had with Jerry Seinfeld in that it’s best to leave on a high note.

Jackman has played Wolverine for 17 years and first appeared back in the 2000 release of X-Men.

Jackman notes in the above video he is more excited than ever to play Wolverine one last time.

“I am more excited about this movie than ever before. I just know in my gut it’s the right thing. Hopefully in five years, I’m not coming back here going ‘why did I do that.’ It feels like the right time.”

Taron Egerton Would Play The New Wolverine

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20912:]]

With Hugh Jackman days as Wolverine nearing an end, Fox Studios must have some idea of where they want to take the character as well as the X-Men franchise.

It’s speculated some sort of soft reboot may be the result of X-Men: Apocalypse as Bryan Singer has already cast younger actors in the roles of Jean Grey, Nightcrawler, Storm and Cyclops. In addition, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender have let it be known they aren’t returning.

So who then for Wolverine? How about Kingsman: The Secret Service‘s Taron Egerton? The 25-year-old actor turned heads in the Matthew Vaughn-directed movie that went on to make over $400 million at the box office and has spawned a sequel.

Screen Rant caught up with Egerton, who stated he would consider playing Wolverine.

[Laughs] I am a huge X-Men fan! My feeling about that is… I don’t know if I’m quite grizzly enough. My facial hair is still very thin and patchy. I feel someone who plays Wolverine potentially needs testosterone in abundance. Yeah, I’d love to have a go at it, but I don’t know. [Laughs] I don’t know. I was with Hugh the day that he announced his retirement from that role. I did joke about that very thing with him. But the phone hasn’t rang yet, my friend, so I don’t know.
