Hulk Confirmed For Avengers: Infinity Wars; Loki For Thor 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22740:]]

It’s recently been learned that Mark Ruffalo and the Hulk will be a part of Thor: Ragnarok, and now Ruffalo has confirmed the Hulk for the Avengers: Infinity War movies as well as Loki for Thor 3.

Regarding Loki, while it seems the inclusion of the Asgardian Trickster is a no-brainer, Tom Hiddleston recently questioned if he would be returning as he stated he hasn’t heard anything from Marvel in years; hasn’t heard about Thor 3, and also wondered if the fans wanted him back.

Now it appears we can all breathe a sigh of relief as Mark Ruffalo fills in USA Today that he has spoken with Thor 3 director Taika Waititi, and while Ruffalo doesn’t know story specifics, he does state Hulk, Thor and Loki will be in the movie.

I don’t know what the story is yet, but it’ll be (Loki) and Thor, and then I’ll be in there here and there. But I don’t know any of the particulars quite yet. I’ve talked to Taika a little bit and I like where it’s headed. … Chris (Hemsworth) and I have a really good time together, we goof off and play around when Tom Hiddleston is around. So it’ll be a lot of funny back-and-forth, especially with Taika, he does that really well. It’ll have that kind of antagonistic Odd Couple-thing going on.

As Hiddleston previously stated, it’s possible Marvel simply hasn’t informed him yet of the Thor 3 plans. Ray Stevenson and Zachary Levi, two members of the Warriors Three, haven’t heard from Marvel as well, but are expecting the call: “I’ve heard that it’s on the cards,” Stevenson told IGN. “As far as Volstagg is concerned, should he be called with his other Warriors Three to protect young Thor again, within a heart’s beat he will be there. So, I am waiting to hear. I’m very excited about the whole thing actually.” Likewise, Levi told CBR: “No, not at all. As far as I know, they are still writing the script. Once that’s all buttoned down, I’m sure they will be making the phone call to whatever actors are involved.”

The USA Today article also makes mention of the Hulk appearing in Avengers: Infinity War:

…he will resurface in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War sequels…

And Ruffalo comments on the possibility of a standalone Hulk movie:

“Actually, it feels even further away. It’s not Marvel’s property, it’s Universal’s property. I don’t know. It seems really problematic.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” has a November 3, 2017 release.

Mark Ruffalo Says We’ll See Thor Vs. Hulk In Ragnarok

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22681:]]

Thor: Ragnarok is confirmed to feature Mark Ruffalo as Banner and the Hulk with it previously said the Odinson will team up with the Green Goliath. Now we learn not only will the two Assemblers team up, but they will battle as well.

The NY Daily News caught up with Ruffalo who offered: “I don’t really know that much about it, but I think it’s going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner. I think they’ll probably fight. There’s no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point.”

Ruffalo continued with mention of what he does know about the film.

“I know that it’s about (the Norse legends of) ‘Ragnarok,’ or the end times in the Marvel universe as it pertains to Thor — which seems to be quite the theme these days in movies,” Ruffalo said.

As mentioned above, Ruffalo says the film with be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner, which is interesting as Ruffalo recently hinted at a separation between the Hulk and his human counterpart.

“Thor: Ragnarok” has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth.

Vision Rumored For Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor 3 & Captain America: Civil War Spoilers

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22674:]]

Potenial spoilers for Paul Bettany’s Vision have landed online in regards to Captain America: Civil War and what follows.

The Hashtag Show YouTube Channel states a source that previously filled them in about Vision in Avengers 2 is now offering the following. The video can also be watched below.

The Vision will be in a relationship with Scarlet Witch in Civil War.

While Captain America: Civil War concept art revealed Vision as part of Iron Man’s team, he won’t be staying there.

The Vision will be Tony Stark’s opposition throughout the film and jump over to Captain America’s team.

After major events that occur in the film, the Vision will be leaving Earth for space.

It’s speculated Vision could appear in Thor: Ragnarok, which is similar to the Hulk who will appear in Thor 3 as well. Furthermore, Thor’s Avengers 2 vision featured the Mind Gem in space.

Another possibility is that Vision could end up in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 with the Mind Gem, perhaps tying into Adam Warlock somehow.

It’s suggested Thanos needs to acquire the Mind Gem, so this is why Vision would need to go out into space.

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Synopsis:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

Mark Ruffalo Teases Hulk and Banner Separation For Thor: Ragnarok

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22616:]]

With the Hulk going cosmic in Thor: Ragnarok it’s a wonder how they will fit in Bruce Banner, the Green Goliath’s fragile and puny alter-ego.

As the Hulk will be smashing side-by-side the Odinson on Asgard, will there be any room for Banner in the cosmos?

It turns out Kevin Feige may have an out (which potentially could work for a Planet Hulk movie) as Mark Ruffalo recently spoke to the Huffinton Post teasing Banner and Hulk may be featured on screen together.

“I play Dr. Bruce Banner, and occasionally I turn into a big green, mean monster,” Ruffalo offered. “I am excited to keep coming back to this role. I see a lot of space for it to grow. I feel like there’s a lot of cool stuff to explore still, especially the relationship between Banner and Hulk. Hopefully, we’ll see the two of them in a scene together. That would be cool!”

Fans of the movies and comics know that the Hulk and Banner are essentially the same person, but actually, the Hulk represents sort of a different personality. At times, Banner’s various personalities have triggered different Hulk versions such as the dumb Green Hulk, which is akin more to Banner’s infant years; then there is the Joe Fixit Grey Hulk – actually the first iteration of the Hulk – who is not as strong as his green brother, but comes off as more cunning and more adolescent-like (there have been other versions as well including Devil Hulk, and the popular Future Imperfect version, Maestro).

The Banner, Green and Grey personalities actually combined in one of my favorite story arcs, with the culmination being the smart Professor Banner Hulk (I asked Peter David at the NYCC if we would ever see the Banner Hulk in a movie to which he replied, “Probably not,” and noted it’s one of his favorite versions of the Hulk, too). So as Banner seemingly suffers from a gamma-irradiated multiple personality disorder, it’s possible Banner and Hulk might actually be separated in the movies. This has actually proved disastrous in the comics as the two can’t survive without the other, and in addition, the inclusion of Banner was a calming factor for the Hulk.

So without Banner, we might see a totally nutso Hulk in Thor 3, as some cosmic factor could explain how the two get separated (Doctor Doom also separated the two recently in the comics). Still, another possibility (and similar to the comics) is that Banner could have a conversation with the Hulk in his head, which they were ought to do in the comics. At times, the various personalities would be attempting to take control, with the battle taking place in Banner’s mind.

“Thor: Ragnarok” has a November 3, 2017 release directed by Taika Waititi starring Chris Hemsworth.

Thor 3 To Film In Australia

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22601:]]

Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok,” the third installment of the Marvel Studios’ franchise starring Australia’s Chris Hemsworth as the hammer-wielding comic book Super Hero, has today been confirmed to start pre-production in Queensland in January 2016 with filming to begin in June 2016.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk met with Marvel executives in June in Los Angeles and, through Screen Queensland, worked tirelessly to ensure Queensland was the production destination of choice.

“This is a huge win for Queensland and I am thrilled that Thor will be filming exclusively in our state,” Ms Palaszczuk said.

“As our economy diversifies, Queensland is demonstrating its strength as a lead destination for filmmakers both internationally and locally, and my government is doing what it can to ensure that Queensland remains a global hub for the screen sector.

“The production will spend more than $100 million AUD in Queensland and will employ over 750 Queensland crew.”

“Queensland offers an amazing and diverse backdrop for ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ and we are very excited to bring this film to such an incredible locale. Marvel Studios would like to thank the Queensland Government for helping to make this a reality,” said Louis D’Esposito, Co-President of Marvel Studios.

The studio will film at many locations throughout Queensland including scenes at Village Roadshow Studios at the Gold Coast.

The first two films in the Thor series–“Thor,” released in 2011, and “Thor: The Dark World,” released in 2013–earned more than $1 billion USD at the global box office.

Disney has slated a November 3, 2017 U.S. release date for “Thor: Ragnarok.”

Watch: Tom Holland Talks Spider-Man; Says Chris Hemsworth Gave Him Advice

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22582:]]

Check out video below of Tom Holland talking about playing Spider-Man where the English actor reveals Chris Hemsworth gave him some advice, as the two actors star in the upcoming Ron Howard film, In The Heart Of The Sea.

“Hemsworth is a good friend of mine, and I work with him,” Holland said. “I have a film that’s coming out in a couple months, actually, and he sent me a congratulatory note and also just a few words of advice about ‘remain cool, it’s all going to get a little crazy, but just enjoy life while no one knows who you are and do some travelling.'”

Holland is also asked about taking inspiration from the other Spider-Man films and comic books.

“I think it’s impossible not to,” Holland offered. “They were so great and such real and rich performances. There is obviously factors that I love, and I will continue to try and recreate, but I think the most important thing at the moment is making a film, which is obviously of the same character, but make a different and new and exciting movie.”

“In The Heart of the Sea” has a December 11, 2015 release; Tom Holland will first appear as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War out May 6, 2016 followed by the standalone untitled Spider-Man movie in July 28, 2017.

Mark Ruffalo & Hulk Confirmed For Thor: Ragnarok

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22489:]]

Following the rumor from a couple of days ago, it’s now confirmed Mark Ruffalo and the Hulk will be a part of Thor: Ragnarok.

Deadline confirms the news, as the site is essentially an “unofficial” voice for various Hollywood sources.

A second as-of-yet unconfirmed rumor also recently surfaced surrounding the Hulk and new director Taika Waititi stating Waititi was brought on board Thor 3 to lighten up the script and add in some humor as Marvel felt the Chris Yost-written script was too serious and dark. The same rumor also saw hints of Planet Hulk.

Thor: Ragnarok has a November 3, 2017 release.

Chris Yost Fixes Thor 3; Marvel Studios Backs Off

I’m slightly disappointed to hear the following news as I haven’t been too thrilled with Thor in the latest MCU movies. Thor was more or less used as the comic relief in Avengers 2 and had a big scene cut out, and now it’s learned Thor: Ragnarok will get some added humor (of which didn’t work for Thor: The Dark World).

BirthMoviesDeath reports that the initial Thor 3 script is considered by Marvel Studios as being “so serious and dark” that they have decided to bring in a comedy director to lighten things up with Taika Waititi.

It’s said Waititi will bring the movie closer to what “Marvel fans expect,” which I guess has become a bunch of one-liners and goofiness (ie Avengers 2).

The report does confirm the earlier rumor of the Hulk appearing, and it is also said Waititi will be “upping the humor” between the Green Goliath and Thor as the “two heroes will be taking a cosmic road trip together.”

What exactly that means remains to be seen as the report mentions even more humor may be added as: “Waititi may yet be joined by another writer to help brighten the corners of Ragnarok while maintaining writer Christopher Yost’s apocalyptic vibe.”

Marvel fans may recognize Chris Yost from his work in the comics as well as the popular animated series Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (which is light years better than Avengers Assemble).

The report also mentions Valkyrie may be used (or how about Angela).

Getting back to why I’m disappointed, Marvel Cosmic characters like Thor work better in space because their powers and origins are better and more easily accepted — than say a talking raccoon on Earth — so the humor in space epics needs to be downplayed, especially one titled “Ragnarok” (final battle; apocalypse).

A Thor movie akin to the seriousness of Man of Steel (but better written) and Batman Vs. Superman definitely would have been worthy to see on the big screen.

Honestly, while Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy was a major hit with movie goers and the box office, it didn’t even come close to being as good as the Abnett and Lanning Marvel comics of the same name. I realize the Guardians of the Galaxy were rather unknown characters, but an analogy to help you understand our viewpoint would be to replace Star-Lord with Han Solo. How would Han Solo saying, “Dance off, bro?” come off in Empire Strikes Back? Or how about changing out Ronan for Darth Vader? Get it?

I was hoping Marvel Studios would eventually go with a more serious science-fiction movie (ie The Martian, Aliens, Intestellar, Oblivion) — leave the Lost In Space stuff at home, guys.

Tom Hiddleston Doesn’t Know About Thor 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22427:]]

With Tom Hiddleston starring in the upcoming Crimson Peak movie, while promoting the film, the actor has fielded questions regarding the future of Loki.

Hiddleston previously hinted Loki might not be back for Thor 3 and even questioned if fans wanted to see him return.

Now Hiddleston says more of the same and actually reveals he hasn’t spoken to Marvel in about two years, with the last time probably being when he filmed his small cameo that was cut for Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

“I think so. I mean, I don’t know,” Hiddleston responded when asked by Screen Rant if he will be back for Thor 3.

“No, they haven’t, so we’ll see [Laughter],” Hiddleston said about Marvel letting him know if he’s even in the film. “You know, I genuinely do not know. I wish there was something I could tell you. I haven’t spoken to anyone at Marvel for about two years. That universe is expanding at such a rate, so…your guess is as good as mine.”

A recent rumor did state that Loki and Hiddleston will be back, so at least there is that.

Crimson Peak has an October 16, 2015 release, with Thor: Ragnarok scheduled for a November 3, 2017 release.

Hulk Rumored For Thor 3

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22423:]]

Following The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the exact whereabouts of the Hulk is currently unknown.

It was thought the Green Goliath would be appearing in Captain America: Civil War; however, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

So where will we see Banner next?

A new rumor has hit the net from JoBlo stating the Hulk will be in Thor: Ragnarok.

According to the report, Thor will team with the Hulk as Asgard faces a Norse Apocalypse.

The report further mentions that Tom Hiddleston will be back as Loki, as there seemed question as of late if Hiddleston was set to return; Jaimie Alexander is also said to be back as Sif.

It’s also said a “distant planet” is involved in Thor 3 that is “not Asgard and not Earth” which is speculated to possibly be the planet Sakaar where the Planet Hulk Marvel Comics storyline took place.

Regarding Mark Ruffalo, the actor is said to be absolutely part of the supporting cast of Thor 3 and will be featured prominently as Banner.

Thor: Ragnarok has a November 3, 2017 release.

Tom Hiddleston Questions Whether People Want More Loki (Video)

What’s up with the future of Tom Hiddleston as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Just a few days ago saw Tom Hiddleston mention he isn’t sure when he is going to play Loki again, and now while speaking with MTV in the above video questions whether or not people actually want to see him return as the Asgardian Trickster.

Here’s the blurb:

I never quite know. I don’t quite know whether people want to see him again or whether people want to move on. I don’t know. I really can’t take the temperature on it. It’s so difficult because it feels like if it ever happened again, I would try not to repeat myself. I would try to do something new. I never want to feel like I am sort of retreading the same steps. I guess it’s like any actor who plays a character over and over again. I wonder what it’s like for the guys who play the Avengers. I think they feel the same thing. They want to… each time they want to take it on, take it in a new direction.

From my own point of view, this seems rather odd as Loki (and Hiddleston) is easily one of the most popular characters in the MCU. Loki starred in the Thor movies and The Avengers and even took Comic-Con by storm when he made a surprise appearance staying in character. A while back there was also lots of talk (at least amongst fans) about a potential Loki solo movie. Hiddleston also has a pretty big fan base that calls themselves “Loki’s Army” as they petitioned Marvel for a Loki movie that netted over 37,000 signatures.

I’m not exactly sure when things went sour(?) with Hiddleston and Marvel, but something seemed off during Avengers 2 as Whedon wanted to include Hiddleston, but Marvel told Whedon that Hiddleston wasn’t available. Well, Whedon went out a got a hold of Hiddleston himself, who said he would be happy to do Avengers 2. But guess what? Marvel brass cut Hiddleston, anyway.

Something else that is pretty odd is that Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige already confirmed Tom Hiddleston for Thor: Ragnarok. Feige remarked that of course Hiddleston would be returning for Thor 3 when Marvel announced their Phase 3 slate last year.

Is the problem Marvel or Hiddleston? As the above video questions, is Tom Hiddleston tired of playing Loki?

I say bring on more Loki. I never get tired of watching Hiddleston on screen.

Tom Hiddleston Might Not Return For Thor 3?

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22177:]]

Something seems amiss in the land of Asgard as Loki’s glorious purpose may be coming to an end.

Josh Whedon recently let it be known that Marvel initially told him Tom Hiddleston was unavailable for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron; however, when Whedon talked to the actor himself, Hiddleston agreed to do the movie — but Marvel cut Hiddleston’s scene anyway.

Now having Loki featured in Thor 3 seems to be up in the air as well, and this is after Kevin Feige already confirmed Hiddleston for Thor 3.

Tom Hiddleston’s latest movie, Crimson Peak, hits next month, and Coming Soon talked with the actor about Loki, who mentioned he doesn’t even know if Loki is going to happen again.

You know, I don’t know. I think I won’t be able to help it if I ever play him again, and I just don’t know when that’s gonna happen, if that’s gonna happen.

It’s possible Hiddleston could just be playing coy, as the actor does mention he has talked with Chris Hemsworth.

I would never lose [Loki’s] dimension, but it’s so interesting. I’ve talked with Chris Hemsworth, how those characters have changed as we’ve changed. It’s five years ago since I played him for the first time. That’s a long time ago. So who knows what I’ll be cooking up!

Tom Hiddleston also responds “maybe” when it’s mentioned Loki will have more tricks up his sleeve, which may point to Hiddleston’s return as the Asgardian Trickster not being guaranteed.

Almost a year ago saw Kevin Feige confirm that Tom Hiddleston would be returning for Thor: Ragnarok when Marvel announced their Phase 3 slate of movies, so perhaps our worries are unfounded, but at one time there was even talk of a Loki movie (at least among the fans), and with Loki being cut from Avengers 2, Marvel seems to be missing the boat. Additional Loki scenes were added to Thor: The Dark World, so it could be possible Loki was cut from Avengers 2 as to not to oversaturate the character’s appearances; however, can there ever be enough of Loki?

“Crimson Peak” hits October 15, 2015; “Thor: Rangarok” has a November 3, 2017 release.

It’s learned Marvel Comics writer and Thor: Ragnarok co-writer Chris Yost is going to pen the He-Man Masters of the Universe movie for Sony.

Yost was also responsible for the fan-favorite Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes animated Disney series and worked on the first Thor movie and Thor: The Dark World.

Variety reports Yost will be heading to Eternia to help bring He-Man to the big screen as the writer will be rewriting the Masters of the Universe script that Terry Rossio and Jeff Wadlow worked on.

He-Man ran from 1983-1985 featuring Prince Adam who has the power to transform into the heroic He-Man with his magic sword when uttering, “By The Power of Grayskull. I have the power!.” Along with his allies, the Masters of the Universe, He-Man battles his nemesis, the evil Skeletor, who seeks to conquer Castle Grayskull in order to learn the secrets held within.

“Yes,” Alexander replies.

Jaimie Alexander is also asked about the scope of her role in Thor 3, in which she replies, “I don’t know the answer to that question, but I know I’m in it.”

Earlier at Comic-Con also saw a new trailer debut for Batman Vs. Superman offering a first look at Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

“I’m sure she can [kick ass],” Alexander says about Gadot playing the Amazonian Princess. “I know what kind of work goes into those films, and you train. You work out a lot, and you make sure you do what you say you can do. I’m sure that she will kick ass.”

“Thor: Ragnarok” has a November 3, 2017 release.

Spider-Man To Start Filming June 2016

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21191:]]

While doing press for Ant-Man, Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige offered updates on the filming schedules for Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor 3 and the new Spider-Man.

Regarding Captain America: Civil War, Feige said they just crossed the halfway mark of filming last week, and that it’s around day 42 or 43 of 80.

Feige offered Doctor Strange will start to film in London this November.

James Gunn recently confirmed the title for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel to be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, which Feige stated will start filming in London around February and/or March of 2016.

The third Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok, will film at the same time as the new Tom Holland Spider-Man movie, around June of 2016.

Feige also shot down the rumor that Thor 3 will be directed by Kenneth Branagh and stated the announcement for the director should be some time soon.

While there was a previous goofy rumor that Marvel was “scared” of WB at this Summer’s Comic-Con, as many have anticipated, Feige said it’s possible Marvel will be at Disney’s D23 Expo in August.

“Captain America: Civil War” hits May 6, 2016; “Doctor Strange” has a November 4, 2016 release; “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” blasts off May 5, 2017; Spider-Man swings in July 28, 2017, and “Thor: Ragnarok” hammers home November 3, 2017.

Alan Taylor Contradicts Kevin Feige Regarding Marvel Directorial Control

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:21181:]]

It’s long been said that Marvel Studios controls and has more say so over their movies than the directors working on the films.

There has been reported issues with Jon Favreau and the Iron Man movies, which also includes Mickey Rourke butting heads with Marvel over his character, Whiplash, in Iron Man 2.

We can also most recently point to The Avengers: Age Of Ultron as Joss Whedon let it be known lots of scenes were cut from the movie at the request of Marvel, with most notably being Tom Hiddleston’s scene. Marvel even said Hiddleston wasn’t available for Avengers 2, but when Whedon spoke with Hiddleston, Hiddleston stated he was all up for it.

We can also throw in the Edgar Wright Ant-Man situation as Marvel brought a new director on board with Peyton Reed reportedly because Wright’s version wasn’t as “connected” to the Marvel Universe and didn’t feature “Avengers.”

Now the latest is regarding comments made by Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige in regards to WB’s Greg Silverman stating that Warner Bros. allows directors to fullfill their visions, while meaning Marvel does not, and comments made by Thor 2 director Alan Taylor.

Here’s the Q&A with Feige via THR:

Warner Bros.’ Greg Silverman told THR that the difference between the DC/Warners movies and Marvel movies is that Warners allows directors to fulfill their visions. How do you respond?

FEIGE My response is: Look at the movies. Iron Man and Iron Man 2 are as Jon Favreau films as you can see. Kenneth Branagh has his stamp all over ThorCaptain America: First Avenger is very much a Joe Johnston film. The greatest example of that, look at Guardians of the Galaxy withJames Gunn. And the one I always point out is Avengers. We knew the general structure when we sat down with Joss [Whedon]. But I don’t want you to think we gave him a story. We gave him a “Here’s where we think the movie should start, here’s where we think this character should come into it; it would be fun if something like this happened in the middle and in the end a hole opens up and aliens pour out into Manhattan.” So arguably, there were many pieces in place, and yet now that everyone has seen the movie, it’s completely a Joss Whedon film. He was able to take all the elements that were handed to him – that were studio-imposed, if you want to look at it that way – and make it his own. We wouldn’t have hired any of the filmmakers we’ve hired if we just wanted somebody who would do what we say.

Alan Taylor, while doing press for his latest movie Terminator: Genisys, contradicts Feige’s statements about working on Thor 2. While Taylor does say Marvel did give him freedom to direct the movie; however, when all the footage was completed, Taylor says Marvel wouldn’t let him go with his version of Thor 2.

Via UpRoxx:

When I spoke to you for Thor: The Dark World, I got the underlying tone that it wasn’t the greatest experience for you making that movie.

[Terminator: Genisys and Thor: The Dark World] were very different. I’ve done two and I’ve learned that you don’t make a $170 million movie with someone else’s money and not have to collaborate a lot. The Marvel experience was particularly wrenching because I was sort of given absolute freedom while we were shooting, and then in post it turned into a different movie. So, that is something I hope never to repeat and don’t wish upon anybody else. This was not like that. The story we started telling is essentially the story we finished and are bringing out into the world. But there was a lot of collaboration, as there is going to be on something this big.

With Thor: The Dark World, I did get the impression you were promoting a movie that you didn’t think was the movie you made.

[Laughs] I’m hoping I wasn’t that candid?

I was reading in-between the lines.

Okay, well, you’re probably good at reading body language over the phone. I’m not good at hiding stuff like that.

You seem happier this time.

The finished movie has a lot more in common with what we started with, so that’s great. The experience of making it with this cast, shooting in New Orleans, was quite fun, despite the grueling schedule. But, yeah, if we were to have drinks somewhere, I have plenty to complain about. We’ll do that next time.

Back while promoting Thor 2, Taylor also told HP the following about problems with Marvel, which sounds like Thor 2 was meant to have more action from the start.

Though, there’s a lot of exposition at the beginning. But after about 45 minutes, it really comes together.

Yeah, I think that is sort of the structure that was found in post. The early versions of the movie that I have tremendous affection for, there was a lot less exposition up front. And it was sort of… kind of discovered it along the way — and the decision was made. It’s a common dynamic, I think, to sort of front-load everything you need to know so that, precisely, the audience can sort of relax and have fun for the latter part. That was sort of the tug-of-war during post.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20944:]]

In another switcheroo, Paul Feig has cast Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist in the all-female Ghostbusters reboot.

Fans of the original Ghostbusters will recall Annie Potts played the original part of Janine Melnitz, who had a crush on Egon.

Perhaps Ghostbusters 3 will follow suit and Chris Hemsworth will have a thing for one of the female Ghostbusters.

The Ghostbusters reboot stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon for a July 22, 2016 release.

Chris Hemsworth, of course, is known for playing Thor in the Marvel movies including most recently The Avengers: Age Of Ultron and stars in the Vacation remake out in July.

Watch: Thor Movie Honest Trailer Watched By Thor Writer

This is a pretty cool video featuring co-writer of Thor, Zack Stentz, appearing on the Screen Junkies YouTube channel watching the “honest trailer” for the first Thor film.

The YouTube channel regularly puts out parody reactions to various films which more than often hit the nail right on the head when it comes down to problems within the movies.

Stentz also offers some interesting tidbits about Thor ranging why they used Coulson as well as Marvel being skeptical at first about the use of SHIELD.

I rather enjoyed Thor, but I thought the movie ended rather abruptly. I would have like the third act stretched out a bit with Loki and the battle against The Destroyer.

Zack Stentz is writing the new Power Rangers and Top Gun 2 as well.

Watch: Thor Stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton In Avengers 2 Scene

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20419:]]

For those that have seen The Avengers 2, they know it featured tons of action; however, all that action wasn’t done by the pretty-faced actors we see on the big screen, but also by a dedicated group of stuntmen.

Fans are already familiar with Chris Hemsworth’s double, Bobby Holland Hanton, following the set image reveal of the new Thor 2 costume.

Hanton returned for Avengers 2 and not only doubled for Hemsworth, but Captain America Chris Evans as well (pictured above).

Hanton told THR the following about Avengers 2, and check out a video below showcasing Hanton in action as Thor from an Avengers 2 scene.

I started off stunt doubling Captain America before Chris [Hemsworth] had started. I started the show in Korea, filming the sequence on the big truck as Cap. Then I had roughly five to seven weeks before my first bit of Thor stunt stuff came up. That was when my diet and training plans changed and became a lot harder and more intense so I could get to that Thor size. Captain America is in great shape anyway, so I started from that. I went from eating five meals a day to sometimes seven or eight meals a day to put on the extra size. Instead of training once a day in the gym, I went up to two training sessions a day in the gym.

That was split with another stunt double, Andy Lister, who took over the Captain America stuff once we’d gotten back to the UK and I’d turned my attention to Thor. I was hanging off the back of a truck. Ultron blasts the door open and I swing, smashing into the door and kick off and then he blasts again and we land on the road and I was kind of surfing on the back of the door on the road. It was a new experience for me. I had not done much outside of the vehicle work, with live roads and live traffic. I had to really be focused and on top of my game and make sure everything for me was in place.
