Zack Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ Sequel Ideas Are Awful

Be careful what you wish for seems to be an ongoing theme in regards to the DC films, as details are made known about Zack Snyder’s Justice League sequel plans, which sound just plain awful.

Zack Snyder finally got to finish his version of the Justice League movie and recently spoke with Vanity Fair about that epilogue scene involving Batman and the Joker which would have led to Justice League sequels.

The info is on the heels of Snyder recently revealing that Warner Bros. nixed his idea to have Bruce Wayne fall in love with Lois Lane, which if you think that is bad (it is) things get even worse.

Note: Justice League Spoilers follow

The Justice League HBO Max epilogue scene reveals the Knightmare universe of Zack’s DC films where Darkseid has destroyed the Earth and Superman is a bad guy which would have led to Justice League 2 and 3.

The scene features the Knightmare versions of Ben Affleck as Batman, Jared Leto as Joker, Joe Manganiello as Deathstroke, Amber Heard as Mera, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, and Ezra Miller as The Flash. It’s also revealed Wonder Woman and Aquaman are dead.

Before we dive in, I was scratching my head how this Justice League Knightmare team of mostly non-powered characters (including Mera as no water is in sight) would be able to take on Superman, especially considering the two most powerful, Aquaman and Wonder Woman, have already been taken out? I suppose they are trying to give The Flash time to reverse everything, so there is that, and that ties into Zack’s “grand” ideas for the Justice League sequels (maybe Joker’s guns work on Superman)?

So Zack’s “grand” plan was to have the pregnant Lois Lane get murdered by Darkseid as Batman stood by and watched it happen, which is what the Leto Joker is referencing when he tells Batman he is too scared to die or what have you (so Batman is a coward, Zack even says Batman didn’t have the “courage”).

So this causes Superman to turn bad, who gets influenced by Darkseid and the Anti-Life Equation and the Earth is destroyed.

So how to fix things?

Well, have The Flash go back in time and inspire Batman to save Lois when Batman didn’t have the courage the first time.

But wait, it gets even worse.

Snyder explains that Batman sacrifices himself and saves everything and stops the Knightmare universe from happening, so Lois ends up having the baby.

But get this, the baby has no powers, so Superman and Lois come up with the brilliant idea to have their son — become the new Batman!

They take him to the Batcave and want their kid to be Batman!

Update: Zack told Esquire he also wanted Barbara Gordon to replace Batman and then train Superman’s son to become the new Batman.

Yep! That’s the plan! Played out through two more movies!

I can’t help but laugh at how bad this sounds.

Superman and Lois telling their kid to become Batman. WTF? And that “Uncle Bruce” would be proud of the kid if he did this?

YIKES!

Who is the most powerful Marvel hero?
