Disney’s Snow White movie, starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, is looking like even more of a colossal box office bomb, as the film now faces a potential $300 million loss.
Final box office estimates revised much lower
Following its second weekend, which similar to its opening, underperformed, final worldwide box office estimates have been revised much lower from $300M-$400M closer to only $200M.
$500 million is the “box office safety net
THR previously went over the numbers where industry insiders estimated Snow White needs to make at least $500 million just to hit the “box office safety net.”
At the time, which was less than a week ago, it was expected that Snow White would finish with $300 million to $400 million globally—meaning a loss of around $200M.

Estimated final worldwide gross
However, in an update from its sister site, Deadline, Snow White is now estimated to finish with a worldwide box office of only around $225M, which is even further from that $500M “safety net,” and would mean a potential loss of nearly $300 million from its theatrical gross. That $225M final gross is also a lot lower than Dumbo‘s $353.2M from back in 2019.
Snow White leading to $115M loss for Disney
As Deadline, goes over, the only saving grace – if you want to call it that – is that Snow White will obviously bring in revenue from home entertainment, TV and Disney+ ancillaries, which, according to their numbers, should bring the loss down to somewhere around $115M. Of course, that’s still a complete disaster.

Snow White box office is crumbling
Snow White fell 66.4% in its second weekend and came in second behind Jason Statham and David Ayer’s A Working Man, which took the #1 spot of the weekend.
While it was hoped the Rachel Zegler flick would have good legs, that’s not looking like the case at all, as the Snow White box office is expected to crumble further. A Disney producer’s son recently blamed the flop on Rachel Zegler as well.
