As Disney’s Snow White is put to permanent sleep in its second weekend at the box office, the new action-packed movie from Jason Statham, David Ayer, and Sylvester Stallone rouses audiences awake with A Working Man.

Snow White vs A Working Man
Rachel Zegler continues to bomb
Similar to what happened with its opening weekend, now the second weekend box office for Snow White is not meeting expectations.
Prior to this weekend, Snow White was estimated to bring in $15M+ for its second weekend. However, the numbers are coming in lower, currently around $14-$15 million, which could result in nearly a 67% drop.
Saturday PM update: Number are looking even lower at $13.7M, which would be a bigger 68% drop.
Sunday update: Second weekend box office for Snow White is now reported to be $14.2M, a 66% drop.
Snow White cost close to $400 million to make. This is a complete disaster for Disney. Recently also saw a Disney producer’s son blame Rachel Zegler for the flop. Zegler won’t be celebrating this week. More below.

A Working Man overperforming
Instead, fans turned out to see Jason Statham in action in A Working Man.
The flick is currently overperforming estimates with a projected $15.6M haul. The film reteams Statham with David Ayer from The Beekeeper. The screenplay is also from Sylvester Stallone and Ayer, and the film is based on comic book writer Chuck Dixon’s novel, Levon’s Trade, who is known for writing Marvel’s The Punisher.
A Working Man opened Friday with $5.6M, including Thursday previews, while Snow White earned $3.7M on Friday which actually comes in third place, also behind The Chosen: Last Supper‘s $5M.
Sunday update: Opening is reported to be $15.2M, the #1 opening of the weekend.

Snow White bombing even hard
It’s now thought Snow White will bomb even harder than Disney’s Dumbo from back in 2019.
Dumbo grossed $18.2M in its second weekend. Dumbo finished with $114.7M in the U.S. and a worldwide gross of $353.2M. Snow White‘s numbers are coming in less than that. It’s been suggested Disney will lose $300M on Snow White.
As of Friday, Snow White has only grossed $100M worldwide, with $56.3M in the U.S.
Snow White box office
- Domestic (56.2%): $56,314,583
- International (43.8%): $43,907,066
- Worldwide: $100,221,649
