Daredevil: Born Again continues its embarrassing run, with the penultimate episode becoming the eighth straight to miss the Nielsen streaming charts, something no other major Marvel series has done.
Unless MCU fans have decided to jump on board with the last episode to binge-watch, itâs looking likely that Daredevil: Born Again will be Marvelâs first MCU series on Disney+ not to make the Nielsen charts. Weâll know next week.
Disney+ automatically has Nielsen tracking turned on in user accounts.
Update: Episode 9 also failed to make the charts. Itâs a Marvel first.

What are the ratings?
Nielsen has released the charts for the week of April 7 -13, 2025, which is when episode 8, âIsle of Joy,â of Daredevil: Born Again was released on Disney+. The episode has failed to make the chart, just like the previous seven. Nielsen also measures all the episodes available within a weekâs timeframe.
At the bottom of the Nielsen chart for the week is Netflixâs Million Dollar Secret with 463 million minutes. That means Daredevil: Born Again episode 8 pulled in less than that.
When episodes five and six dropped together failed to chart (see below), they averaged under 172 million minutes each. So there seems to be no scenario where a single new episode breaks through when the cutoff is nearly triple that, again, unless fans show up to binge-watch.

MCU brand is damaged
What it means is that the MCU brand is damaged. Fans arenât tuning in to watch the MCU shows (or Star Wars) on Disney+. Only Bluey charts, and thatâs not even from Disney. The movies also chart for a bit, with Moana 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King landing on the Top 10 Movies Nielsen chart.
Look no further than Thunderbolts for more evidence that the MCU is in trouble. Itâs a decent movie, yet itâs bombing at the box office. One of the lowest of the MCU. Fans arenât showing up. Theyâre not interested. Even while Kevin Feige rebranded it to âNew Avengers.â Right when Thunderbolts was released also saw that report from the WSJ stating that Feige is overhauling Marvel. Question is: Is it too late?
Up next from the MCU on Disney+ is Ironheart. Theyâre now using Robert Downey Jr. to try to sell the series. Good luck.
