We have the answer to why Captain America: Brave New World has been pushed back by seven months instead of getting moved up and taking the place of the Deadpool 3 release date.
Recall how it was recently reported that Deadpool 3 would be delayed to the Summer and that it was claimed Captain America: Brave New World was further ahead in terms of production and completion so the flick could swap from the Summer release to Deadpool 3’s original May 3, 2024 release.
However, following the end of the strikes, Marvel Studios announced new release dates which did see Deadpool 3 pushed to Summer but the Captain America: Brave New World release date was actually pushed way back seven months to 2025.
So what happened?
Well, apparently Kevin Feige is even having more problems with the MCU.
Jeff Sneider via The Hot Mic offers Captain America: Brave New World received negative test scores and didn’t do well in test screenings. Sneider also says three major sequences will be cut from the movie and that reshoots will happen for five months, from January 2024 to May 2024.
So as a result of Captain America: Brave New World being in such a state of disaster just like the rest of the MCU, the release date moves from 7/26/24 to 2/14/25.

Regarding the rest of the MCU, where do we start?
The MCU on Disney+ has been a huge bust and all came to a head with the release of Secret Invasion. Marvel Studios is now refocusing how it develops its TV shows.
As I first told you over the Summer, it is confirmed Marvel is retooling Daredevil: Born Again.
Loki Season 2 is down around 50% or more in ratings.
This week sees the release of The Marvels which is apparently mega-bombing at the box office.
In addition to problems with Captain America: Brave New World, Blade has been reported to have massive problems. So has Thunderbolts and so has Fantastic Four.
Blade, Thunderbolts, and Fantastic Four have all gone through changes including adding new directors and writers. Their release dates have also been pushed back.
Disney has confirmed they are releasing less Marvel content.
New MCU release dates:
- Deadpool 3 moves from 5/3/24 to 7/26/24
- Thunderbolts moves from 12/20/24 to 7/25/25
- Captain America: Brave New World moves from 7/26/24 to 2/14/25
- Blade moves from 2/14/25 moves to 11/7/25
