Exclusive: 'Daredevil: Born Again' A Disaster: Getting Retooled

Marvel insiders at Comic-Con have filled me in that the Daredevil: Born Again series that has been filming is a complete disaster and isn’t any good but will be retooled to fix things.

Update: This is confirmed as Kevin Feige and Marvel have fired the head writers and directors and are rebooting the series.

Original article continues:

I’m told that the direction Kevin Feige has been going with Daredevil: Born Again is in line with the Daredevil from the She-Hulk series: yes, goofy as hell.

Charlie Cox returned as the Man Without Fear in She-Hulk which was a much different version than the Netflix show that everybody loves.

The Netflix show is on the adult and serious side of things but for whatever reason, Feige chose to go in the completely opposite direction for Born Again and make it comedic, much like Thor: Love and Thunder, Quantumania, She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, etc.

So I am told that when filming on Daredevil: Born Again started, they stuck with that comedic version; however, the good news is that now I am told Marvel is retooling Daredevil: Born Again to line it up with the tone of the Netflix show and that Marvel is fixing things.

The only problem is the strike is now happening which, I am told, could last as long as until the end of the year, so much like every other project, Marvel can’t fix Daredevil: Born Again right now and has to wait until the strike is over, which includes writers and actors.

It’s no secret that after the release of Endgame, the MCU hasn’t been the same. Recently saw Disney CEO Bob Iger confirm Disney is pulling back on Marvel. You don’t do that with something that is a success.

Update: A listing on the U.S. copyright office suggests a big delay and it’s said there might be a lot of filler episodes.
