New MCU Release Dates: Deadpool 3, Thunderbolts, Captain America 4, Blade

With the strike over, Marvel Studios has announced new and updated release dates for Deadpool 3, Thunderbolts, Captain America: Brave New World, and Blade.

Deadpool 3 moves from 5/3/24 to 7/26/24.

Thunderbolts moves from 12/20/24 to 7/25/25.

Captain America: Brave New World moves from 7/26/24 to 2/14/25.

Blade moves from 2/14/25 moves to 11/7/25.

Worth a mention is that with Thunderbolts and Blade getting new release dates that means they are still on the schedule and contrary to rumors haven’t been canceled.

We also see that Marvel will only have one movie released in 2024 with Deadpool 3. Previously it was thought Captain America: Brave New World would move up but it’s actually been delayed seven months which is said to be due to problems and going through massive reshoots.

Strikes responsible for delays

Disney has also moved the Mufasa: The Lion King sequel from July 5 to December 20, 2024, and removed from the schedule two untitled movies on July 25, 2025, and November 7, 2025.

Earlier also saw Sony announce Venom 3 with a Nov. 8, 2024 release date.

The reason for all the delays is because of the actors and writers strike which lasted seven months and caused production to halt on various projects. The writers strike ended in September and just today the actors strike finally came to a conclusion.

Marvel is also retooling the Disney+ Daredevil: Born Again series.

Upcoming releases for the MCU include all five episodes of Echo dropping on both Hulu and Disney+ on January 10, 2024, which launches the new Marvel Spotlight brand that separates from the rest of the MCU.

The Season 2 finale of Loki also airs tonight, and The Marvels debuts with Thursday previews.
