Superman Henry Cavill recently posted two videos on his Facebook page from Comic-Con.
The first video apparently shows Henry Cavill getting his picture taken for CG-work in Justice League (or a promo), which borrows a song from Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, perhaps signifying it’s cosmic-related.
“Heading home now…Thank you Comic Con. #JusticeLeague #SDCC2016 #BeamMeUp,” Cavill posted.
The second video sees Henry Cavill donning a V For Vendetta mask hitting the Comic-Con floor and surprising an unexpected Will Smith and the cast of Suicide Squad.

Will Smith made an appearance over the weekend at the MTV Movie Awards where the new Suicide Squad trailer debuted (watch below).
MTV caught up with Will Smith to ask what’s next for Deadshot, with Smith offering he wants to play Batman.
“There was one of the comics when Bruce Wayne got injured and Deadshot, for a couple [issues], came in,” Smith said. “He had to throw on the Batsuit. I’m just saying, if they were going to draw from that, I wouldn’t reject it. I’m a team player. I’m a team player. If they need me in the suit, I’m in it. [Ben Affleck] can do it for two or three, then Deadshot can take over. To me, it’s the logical progression.”
Will Smith has actually been rumored for the new standalone Batman movie.

Good news for fans of the DCCU and Suicide Squad as it’s being reported WB is already planning on the sequel.
In The Wrap‘s report about Will Smith starring in David Ayer’s cop thriller Bright, it’s noted Ayer hopes to fit Bright into his Fall schedule before Warner Bros. brings him and Will Smith back for a planned Suicide Squad sequel in 2017.

While we won’t see it in the movie, a viral site has revealed the fate of Will Smith’s character for Independence Day: Resurgence, which turns out that Captain Steven Hiller died back in 2007.
Now Will Smith comments on the death of Hiller with Yahoo:
“I was working on Suicide Squad during that time. [Independence Day director] Roland [Emmerich] and I had talked about it. The trailer looks really cool. I’m going to be sitting around with tears in my eyes when that one comes out… It was terrible when I found out my character died.”

Now with the release of the new Independence Day: Resurgence trailer and War of 1996 viral site, it’s not only learned that Smith’s Hiller received a promotion — but that Will Smith and Hiller will not be returning for any more sequels.
Will Smith’s Colonel Hiller has been killed off as the character died in an alien-tech malfunction.
Both the trailer and viral site revealed mankind has taken the alien tech as their own and used it as an upgrade, where we see Hiller has been killed off as a result of experimenting with the tech.
The date of Hiller’s death: April 27, 2007.

A new rumor surfaces stating Will Smith may star in the upcoming standalone Ben Affleck Batman movie.
Latino Review is quoting sources who state Deadshot may appear in the Batman film, which would be a “major role” for Smith and make the film on par with Batman Vs. Superman in terms of star quality and characters.
According to the report, it’s not a definite thing with it stated it’s “rumble behind the scenes” and a big “IF things pan out.”
It’s further said Will Smith as Deadshot in a Batman movie would be a “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” type-of-scenario.
The Batman movie has yet to be announced (probably around Batman Vs. Superman‘s debut), and it’s also speculated that Ben Affleck will direct.
Affleck did recenly reveal he’s open to directing a solo Batman movie and did state the DC Justice League Universe will be massive.
If the Will Smith Deadshot rumor doesn’t pan out, there is always the rumor of the Red Hood for the standalone Batman movie.

We learn a tidbit about the Suicide Squad in that Jared Leto stayed completely in character as Joker during filming — so much so that Leto never even spoke to Will Smith as the two worked on the film together for six months.

It’s learned Jared Leto is staying in character even went not filming for the Joker in Suicide Squad.
EOnline caught up with Adam Beach, who is playing Slipknot, where the actor let it be known Jared Leto sent gifts to his fellow cast members.

Another batch of Suicide Squad images has hit the net giving an up-close look at the characters and actors.

Suicide Squad recently filmed in Toronto with a lot of set video and images hitting the net revealing some spoilers.
We’ve seen footage of Jared Leto’s Joker and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, in addition to Batman, some sort of creatures, Will Smith as Deadshot and rest of the Suicide Squad cast and characters.
At times it seemed there was so much leaking online that some fans were even complaining, but fear not as director David Ayer has taken to his Twitter to offer more Suicide Squad surprises are to come.
“Well we survived the streets. Time to go dark now,” Ayer tweeted, “Remember, only the tiniest glimpse has been exposed. Our surprises are intact.”
Regarding those surprises, we can try to guess/question what they are:
• The villain of the movie has yet to be revealed.
• How and why the Suicide Squad (with this particular group) form.
• Who is Scott Eastwood playing?
• Who is Ike Barinholtz playing?
• How Batman and Bruce Wayne fit into the movie.
• Will we see a different version of Jared Leto’s Joker as it’s speculated the tatted-up version is from a flashback scene?
• Will Jesse Eisenberg be featured as Lex Luthor?
• Will there be any more surprise DC characters showing up?
• Will this lead into another DC movie or Suicide Squad sequel?
• And we can guess the biggest surprises are to come with the answer to the quesion of: Who will survive the Suicide Squad?

Back in October, Warner Bros. announced a live-action Static Shock web series is in the works, which was quickly followed up by rumor that Jaden Smith will be playing the character.
Now Tyler James Williams, a long time fan-favorite actor to play the Miles Morales Spider-Man, seemingly confirms Jaden Smith as Static Shock.
When asked in the above video about playing a superhero, with it mentioned Static Shock, Williams says Jaden Smith is playing Static Shock.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Williams says with a smile when Static Shock is brought up. “It is great to see Static Shock happening with Jaden. We’ll see what happens with what way Marvel decides to go with Spider-Man.”
Williams continues with mention that he is definitively interested in pursuing a superhero role and, while he isn’t starting a campaign or anything, confirms he has read for Marvel Studios before, so he trusts their decisions.
Worth a mention is that Jaden Smith’s parents are involved with DC, as Will Smith is starring in the Suicide Squad movie and Jada Pinkett Smith played Fish Mooney in Gotham.

No. You are not looking at something out of Doctor Who, but actually the David Ayer Suicide Squad movie.
The latest set images to have hit the net reveal some kind of creatures.
My first impression is that they resembled Killer Croc a bit (but maybe just in color). It also look as if – whatever they are – were former soldiers.
More than likely the Suicide Squad gets called in to handle the situation when it’s learned the soldiers have become something else (infected? taken over by aliens?).
