Marvel’s Dan Slott Has Coronary Over Batman Vs. Superman Gotham Footage

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23074:]]

Fan-favorite Marvel Comics writer of Spider-Man and Silver Surfer, Dan Slott, appears to not have taken favorably to the new Batman Vs. Superman footage which was released earlier during Gotham.

Slott took to Twitter to voice his disassatifaction even though – like the rest of us – he hasn’t seen the whole movie. Slott also appears to not be a big fan of Man of Steel.

Before any accussations of Slott being a Marvel shill begin, Dan does state he’s a big fan of The Flash and Supergirl.

*For the record, Dan didn’t have a coronary – at least we hope not.

Update: Dan Slott has posted even more tweets blasting Batman Vs. Superman and Zack Snyder.

Jessica Jones Shows Some Love For Supergirl & Vice Versa

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23073:]]

Recently two new female-oriented superhero shows hit the air waves with Marvel’s Jessica Jones and DC’s Supergirl.

However, don’t let the company rivalry fool you as Krysten Ritter is a big fan of Melissa Benoist and vice-versa.

Ritter took to her Instagram to show some love for Benoist, with Benoist returning the favor on Twitter.

Had a second to get caught up on my non #jessicajones TV and wanted to give a special shout out to my girl @melissabenoist ! I’ve been a big fan of hers since she first landed in LA. I met her early on when I was casting a show that I was producing and it was clear even then, fresh off the boat, that she was poised to be a big star. I’m so proud and happy for her for landing a part that she totally shines in. Funny, strong, adorable, and radiant! Congrats fellow superhero lady! Much love!

No Flash Supergirl Crossover Planned Says EPs

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23058:]]

It seems those batch of Thanksgiving Day rumors have all but been debunked with the latest being Flash guest starring on Supergirl.

At a recent press event, executive producer Greg Berlanti was asked about the possibility and if there were even talks about it, but Berlanti stated it’s not happening.

“No, only because we just received the pick up. Not at this point,” Berlanti said.

Obviously as Supergirl shares the same creator as Arrow and the Flash – and they are both DC shows – the potential for a crossover some time down the line is always possible.

The other rumor that seems to be debunked is Constantine appearing on DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow.

DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow Rumored For One Season; More On Flash & Supergirl

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23053:]]

This past Thanksgiving saw a batch of DC TV rumors hit the net stating Constantine is going to be a part of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 2, as well as The Flash appearing on Supergirl.

Now a couple of days later some things have changed.

According to the originator of the rumors, Bleeding Cool, the Constantine rumor might not hold true as another “source” is going so far as to state there may not even be a Season 2 for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The thought behind that rumor is the series is said to be incredibly expensive, and they are not sure if they will go ahead with a second season, but instead will go with a totally new series of some kind.

IMO, the DC’s Legends of Tomorrow rumors more or less seem as just simply ideas being tossed around, than anything else that would be of merit.

Regarding The Flash and Supergirl, the good news is that the original rumor is still holding true (at this time), with it said the storyline may involve an arc from the DC Comics Supergirl comic book about New Krypton, which saw 100,000 Kryptonians come to Earth after Brainiac freed them from the bottle city of Kandor, with a new planet being built for them. I believe the EP’s of Supergirl and Flash/Arrow said initially there wouldn’t be a crossover, but it seems that Supergirl‘s ratings have dipped a bit, so they may want to connect it to The Flash, which is a pretty popular show and character right now.

Young Superman Said To Be Coming To Supergirl

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:23035:]]

Following Robbie and Stephen Amell teasing “something super cool,” it’s now learned a young Superman is being cast for the CBS Supergirl TV series.

It’s unclear if the two are related, but TV Line is stating Supergirl is casting a young Kal-El, which will be featured in flashback scenes.

We’ve already seen Superman in the series, but only in blurred-out glimpses. According to the report, the show is seeking a 13-year-old actor with “future leading man looks” to play the potentially recurring role of Kal-El, aka the future MoS.

It’s said the 13-year-old Clark Kent will first appear in this season’s 13th episode “via a string of flashbacks that will establish the cherished bond between him and Kara.”

Additional Key Partners

Books based on the DC Super Hero Girls are also a key component of the program. Random House Children’s Books is the global master publishing partner and will create a portfolio of middle-grade novels that will bring the DC Super Hero Girls universe to life, offering all-new stories that will expand the world from what is featured in the animated content. At NYCC, Random House will unveil a portion of the first book of the middle-grade novel series, titled Wonder Woman at Super Hero High, by distributing 3-chapter samplers of the title, along with fun DC Super Hero Girls bookmarks, throughout the weekend.

DC Entertainment has also secured writer Shea Fontana to create the inaugural original graphic novel.  Scheduled for release in July 2016, the young Super Heroes are kidnapped by a teenage Lex Luthor the day before Super Hero High’s semester finals. Together, they must combine their Super Hero powers to defeat Luthor and race back to school before final exams begin.

Additionally, consumer products partners around the globe are engaged in creating a merchandise program dedicated to DC Super Hero Girls across all key categories.

Developed with girls ages 6-12 in mind, DC Super Hero Girls centers on DC Comics characters during their formative teen years at Super Hero High. DC Comics’ icons including Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Harley Quinn, Bumblebee, Poison Ivy, and Katana are featured in storylines that explore being a unique teen, including discovering their super powers, nurturing friendships and mastering the fundamentals of being their own hero. Other DC Comics Super Heroes attending Super Hero High include Hal Jordan, Beast Boy, The Flash, and many more.
