Charlie Cox Daredevil Rumored For Spider-Man 3 Again

Charlie Cox Daredevil Rumored For Spider-Man 3 Again

Charlie Cox and Daredevil are once again rumored for Spider-Man 3.

Back in March, it was claimed by Kevin Smith that he heard a rumor that Charlie Cox was going to appear as Daredevil in Spider-Man 3 and now the same thing is claimed again by Murphy’s Multiverse.

It’s unknown if Charlie Cox will just have a cameo role or a larger role but, per fan theories, his Matt Murdock could appear as the lawyer for Peter Parker and Spider-Man, which follows the events from Far From Home where Peter was set up as the murderer of Mysterio and his identity revealed to the public.

If Charlie Cox does suit up as Daredevil in Spider-Man 3, I’m guessing we’ll see a brand new suit as Marvel TV auctioned off all the costumes and props from the Daredevil Netflix show.

It could just be possible that Cox doesn’t suit up and appears only as Matt Murdock, again possibly representing Peter in court.

Update: DD is also rumored for She-Hulk.

Daredevil is back at Marvel

At the same time, rumors are also offering Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, might be the lawyer representing Peter Parker in Spider-Man 3, which would make sense as it could connect to the upcoming Disney Plus series.

I actually just went over how Daredevil is back at Marvel following the two-year period where Netflix retained the rights and how Daredevil could appear in Doctor Strange 2 as part of the Multiverse, with Feige throwing the Netflix fans a bone but rebooting the character to his liking.

As Spider-Man 3 appears to be a “Spider-Verse” Multiverse movie, the same scenario could apply, meaning that Kevin Feige has plans for his own MCU Daredevil, which has also been rumored.

Of course, the Charlie Cox Daredevil has a huge following, which includes a “Save Daredevil” campaign, so maybe Feige is caving and plans on rebooting Daredevil in the MCU with Charlie Cox.

Now could it lead to the other Netflix characters making their way into the MCU? Could be. Vincent D’Onofrio wants to be in the MCU.

Back last year at the San Diego Comic-Con I had discussions with Marvel insiders who at the time said Feige planned on rebooting Daredevil in the MCU where we said that Cox would be out, but we discussed if there was a plan where he would be brought into the MCU, Finn Jones as Iron Fist would definitely be out. I was also told plans are in place for a Heroes For Hire project.

While bringing Charlie Cox’s Daredevil into the MCU sort of throws a wrench into rebooting the other Netflix characters in the MCU, if Feige does plan on rebooting things, more than likely the Charlie Cox Daredevil will be from the Multiverse. Rumor also offer Iron Fist will appear in Shang-Chi.

The potential news of Charlie Cox appearing as Daredevil in Spider-Man 3 follows it reported that “everyone will appear” in the movie including Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back as their versions of Spider-Man, Kirsten Dunst back as MJ, Emma Stone returning as Gwen Stacy, and Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus.

The untitled Spider-Man 3 has a Dec. 17, 2021 release date directed by Jon Watts starring Tom Holland, Jamie Foxx, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, and Tony Revolori.
