Doctor Fate Teased For Constantine Season 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20245:]]

Showrunner Daniel Cerone and David Goyer will be meeting with NBC executives later today to pitch the second season of Constantine.

Cerone has asked the fans to tweet with the hashtag #SaveContantine at 1pm ET so they can show NBC that Constantine is trending worldwide (as if often does).

Cerone also participated in a live-tweet of the re-airing of the pilot where he offered clues as to Season 2. DC Comics fans instantly recognized the helmet of Doctor Fate, with Cerone offering it will be a factor in the Constantine Season 2 premiere.

Cerone also offered Season 2 will feature flashback scenes of Constantine’s origins as well as may feature flashbacks of Jasper Winters (Liv’s deceased father and owner of the house/Constantine’s headquarters).

Update: NBC said the Constantine Season 2 pitch meeting went well.

Daredevil Charlie Cox Is Contracted To Do Marvel Movies

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20232:]]

Will we see the Man Without Fear side-by-side The Avengers?

It’s definitely a strong possibility with the success the Daredevil Netflix series has become in addition to the positive fan reception.

While Charlie Cox has stated he hasn’t heard anything from Marvel Studios, the good news is that it’s in Cox’s contract to do be a part of the MCU.

Speaking with close-upfilm.com, Cox says:

It’d be great. I’ve read Civil War [comic] now, I’ve read The New Avengers [comic], I know he’s in there but I think I missed the boat on Civil War because they’re filming that. I don’t know, Marvel have not mentioned that to me at all. It’s in my contract that if they want me to do it, I’m there, and I would love that. That would be an extension of the dream, but I’m a pretty happy customer at this point, to get to do the series again. And I get to do The Defenders at some point.

While Cox may not be appearing in Captain America 3, perhaps we will see Daredevil in Marvel’s Infinity War movies.

Daredevil is currently available on Netflix with 13 episodes, and Season 2 is in the works.

Legends Of Tomorrow Speculated Title For Arrow / Flash Spinoff

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20157:]]

The CW and WB are currently developing a superhero team spinoff series from The Flash and Arrow.

Now a potential title has hit the net with “Legends Of Tomorrow.”

It’s pure speculation as of now, but the title fits with what is currently known about the spinoff.

“Legends Of Tomorrow” would work as a title because it is thought time travel is involved with the new series as not only can The Flash travel through time, but another character said to be a part of the team, Rip Hunter, is from the future as well. This would also explain how Caity Lotz can appear in the spinoff series (either as Canary from the past or perhaps an ancestor from the future).

In an ironic sort of twist, it’s been said Robbie Amell will not be a part of the new spinoff; Robbie Amell starred in a similar-named CW series before joining The Flash that was cancelled with The Tomorrow People.

The info comes from a blurb over at Variety where they reported on an international programming event with mention of “Legends Of Tomorrow.”

With MipTV wrapped, the focus now shifts to the L.A. Screenings in May. Big product suppliers were using MipTV to talk up L.A. Screenings bows that include, in terms of shows attracting attention for WBITVD, “Supergirl” for CBS, “Blindspot” for NBC, “Legends of Tomorrow” for CW, and also “The Curse of the Fuentes Women,” for NBC.

The Flash / Arrow spinoff, possibly titled “Legends Of Tomorrow,” is due out next Fall starring Brandon Routh as Atom, Caity Lotz in an unknown role, Victor Garber as one half of Firestorm, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter and Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl. You can check out a spoiler-filled cast photo here.

Update: David Ramsey, who plays Diggle on Arrow, is reported to have referred to the spinoff as “Legends” while attending the Calgary Expo over the weekend.

Details On Agents Of SHIELD Spinoff & New John Ridley Series

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:20155:]]

New details become known for the planned ABC Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff.

Deadline reports the recent Season 2 cast additions of Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood are finalizing deals to star in the new series.

Blood and Palicki play the former husband and wife duo of Lance Hunter and Barbara “Bobbi” Morse, aka Mockingbird.

Lance is a quick-witted mercenary sharpshooter who recently joined Coulson’s team.

Bobbi worked undercover in HYDRA laboratories and was recently revealed to be a member of the “real” SHIELD.

The report describes the series as potentially having a “Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibe,” which is supposed to be set up during this season, though it’s stated to be unclear weather or not it involves Palicki’s secret plan with the “real” version of SHIELD.

It’s said the spinoff has not yet been ordered for a full series as apparently ABC is waiting on the script.

It’s also unclear if the spinoff would air at the same time as Agents Of SHIELD (ala Flash and Arrow) or be used as bridge between the Fall and Spring seasons of SHIELD.

It’s also mentioned that John Ridley’s Marvel series currently in development will center on the replacement for Carol Danvers’ Ms. Marvel in the comics with the muslim “hero” Kamala Khan.

Watch: Humans Teaser Trailer; New AMC SF Series

Check out a teaser above for the new science-fiction series coming to AMC this Summer, Humans.

Humans, a bold new eight-part drama series from AMC, Channel 4 and Kudos, is set in a parallel present where the latest must-have gadget for any busy family is a ‘Synth’ – a highly-developed robotic servant eerily similar to its live counterpart.

Written by British writing partnership Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley (Spooks, Spooks: The Greater Good), Humans is based on the award-winning Swedish sci-fi drama Real Humans.

“A lot of different types of jobs are automated now,” says co-writer Sam Vincent. “Everything is automated with a kiosk now and there’s no guy at the counter. There’s a real explosion of that happening and we wanted to reflect those social and economic trends…If we had something like the Synths we have on our show, that effect would be magnified a hundredfold, and that was quite interesting. We’re really going quite deep into how society would change.”

Humans, which stars William Hurt, Katherine Parkinson, Tom Goodman-Hill, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front, Neil Maskell, and Gemma Chan, recently finished filming in and around London. The series will premiere on AMC this summer (2015).
