It’s been speculated that Zack Snyder may have snuck a Christopher Reeve Easter Egg into the Man of Steel World Engine scene.
When Henry Cavill flies up into the energy/light, there is a frame of what appears to resemble Christopher Reeve’s face.
While promoting Batman Vs. Superman, Zack Snyder is asked about the potential Christopher Reeve Easter Egg, in which Snyder says that’s not the case.
“Fan theory,” Snyder told Cines Argentinos (via reddit) while smiling and shaking his head back and forth in the no. “It’s just the way it looks. It’s not… I mean if it looks like that, that’s the gods. Not me.”

My Superman of choice is and will always be Christopher Reeve.

The original 6-minute version of the trailer is taking some heat online, but overall I thought Supergirl came off pretty well and reminded me more of the Christopher Reeve Superman, which I felt was a bit missing from Zack Snyder and Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel.
Supergirl is set to air Monday nights starting in November on CBS starring Melissa Benoist.
