Christopher Reeve Superman Rumored To Return In Hologram Form

Christopher Reeve Superman Hologram

Probably the most beloved depictions of the Man of Steel is the Christopher Reeve version from the Richard Donner movies, and now it is said that version of Superman will make a return to the big screen in hologram form.

The info comes from a Redditor who states he attended a 40th Anniversary screening of Superman: The Movie in Beverly Hills where Jack O’Halloran, who played the villain Non, informed the audience Warner Bros. is bringing back Christopher Reeve as a hologram in a future Superman movie.

No further details were made known, but fans are already speculating that some kind of potential “Crisis On Infinite Earths” movie could be in development, which would feature all the different actors that played Superman in one movie, as the Crisis On Infinite Earths comic book story featured alternate Earths.

Interestingly enough, the story featured The Monitor, who happens to be a big part of the upcoming Arrowverse “Elseworlds” crossover. Could it be possible that if WB goes forward with a Crisis movie that they also feature the Arrowverse as one of those alternate Earths and connect the TV characters to the movie characters (and feature the TV characters in the film)?

Christopher Reeve Superman

Another possibility why WB could be bringing back Christopher Reeve as Superman in hologram form could be for their upcoming Supergirl film that is in development, as maybe it ties to the Donnerverse or the original 1984 movie somehow?

I suppose having a quick Christopher Reeve Superman hologram scene wouldn’t be too bad, they just can’t over do it.

Bear in mind to consider this a rumor as nothing official has been announced.

Christopher Reeve starred as Superman in the 1978, 1980, 1983 and 1987 movies, and also appeared on Smallville as Dr. Virgil Swann. In 1995 the actor suffered a major accident while horseback riding and was left a quadriplegic; he passed in 2004.

Speaking of Smallville, if WB is going forward with a Crisis movie, that may mean we may see Tom Welling in Superman form, as well as Dean Cain from the Lois and Clark TV series; quite possibly we could also see George Reeves as well, and even Brandon Routh from Superman Returns.

Worth a mention is just think about Batman…
