Superman is coming home — and it’s bringing a surprise for fans. Alongside the August 15 digital debut, DC Studios has released a new, hour-long documentary, Superman | Adventures in the Making of Superman, as part of a viral marketing campaign.
“Join James Gunn and the cast of Superman on their incredible filmmaking journey. This documentary offers an in-depth look at the filmmaking process, told with unparalleled access,” states the video description.

The Documentary Unleashed
The behind-the-scenes look, which runs 1:01:11 to match the movie’s original July 11 theatrical release date, is available now at superman.com/unlockthefortress.
To view it, fans must enter the password HOPE. The behind-the-scenes special offers an in-depth look at the filmmaking process, with James Gunn and the cast sharing candid stories and exclusive access from start to finish.

The film — DC Studios’ first theatrical feature — has grossed more than $331 million domestically and $579 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing Superman movie in U.S. history and the year’s top-earning superhero release.

About the Film
