Marvel boss Kevin Feige says a live-action Miles Morales isnât happening anytime soon, and thatâs because Sony told them to keep out.
Feige Says âThat Is Nowhereâ
For years, some fans have been pushing for Miles Morales to appear in the MCU. But during a recent press stop about the MCU, Feige confirmed thereâs no development on a live-action version of the Spider-Verse character.
âThat is nowhere,â said Feige, when asked about Marvelâs plans for Miles, via THR.

Itâs Sonyâs Call
Feige made it clear that the decision isnât Marvelâs to make, as Sony owns the film rights to Spider-Man and all related characters.
âSony has their brilliant, genius, incredible Spider-Verse animated franchise going and until that finishes, weâve been told to stay away,â he added.
That means as long as Sony is cranking out its animated Spider-Verse moviesâincluding the upcoming third installmentâMarvel wonât be touching Miles Morales. It also means the fan theory that Liza ColĂłn-Zayas is playing the mother of Miles Morales in Spider-Man 4 is likely not true.
Whatâs Next?
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has a June 25, 2027 release date. With Sony hanging onto the live-action rights, it looks like any potential crossover with Tom Hollandâs Spider-Man or the broader MCU is on ice.
