Watch: Tom Holland Talks Playing Spider-Man

Check out Tom Holland above talking about Spider-Man as IGN caught up with the new Peter Parker for his latest movie, In The Heart of the Sea, which also features fellow Marvel star Chris Hemsworth.

On Chris Hemsworth:

“We have recently,” Holland said about talking with the Hemsworth about the MCU. “Obviously when we shot the film, I had no idea I was going to be given this opportunity, but I asked him what to expect. From working with him, I learned a lot about what it’s like to be Chris Hemsworth. The truth is, he is a pretty normal guy. He’s really hard-working. He’s really nice to be around. I think his work ethic really stands out. That’s something I need to make sure I maintain and don’t become complacent in any way.”

On Spider-Man:

“I mean it’s very daunting because obviously the first two guys were so great and they did such fantastic performances. So I’ve got quite a lot to follow. I think I’ll have the help from the rest of the Marvel Universe. What’s quite exciting is when you read these comics he’s in, he interacts with a lot of other super heroes. So I don’t know if they will – they might do it – but I love the idea of teaming up with other people and getting to work with some of the fantastic cast that are in this universe. But as of now, I know nothing. I just know one day in the near future I will be able to play Spider-Man, but as of now I don’t know much.”

What to expect:

“Hopefully great things, and I’m sure they will be good. The Marvel’s creative team are fantastic and really brilliant, and I am sure they are coming up with some pretty stellar stuff.”

Tom Holland will first be appearing in “Captain America: Civil War” this coming May followed by a new standalone Spider-Man movie.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Graces Entertainment Weekly

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer #3

Consider the Captain America: Civil War rumor debunked as Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the covers for this week’s issue which features Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

As the rumor suggested Captain America: Civil War promotion was going to kick off this week with an EW cover, we can guess promotions for Civil War might not take place until either right before or after Star Wars: The Force Awakens debuts, as the Captain America: Civil War trailer is said to be attached to December’s Star Wars premiere.

Check out the Star Wars covers belown featuring the droids, Harrison Ford, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley.

Updated: with more Harrison Ford Han Solo images below.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has a December 18, 2015 release directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer.

Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film.

X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer Attached To Star Wars: The Force Awakens

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22891:]]

About a week ago saw Bryan Singer tease that the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer will be released soon, and now it’s learned the trailer will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

X-Men producer and writer Simon Kinberg confirmed to Collider that the X-Men: Apocalypse trailer will be released in December attached to Star Wars.

“I can in fact confirm that information. Our first trailer will be on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it’s certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it.”

It’s also been said the Captain America: Civil War trailer will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and recently Batman producer Charles Roven hinted a new Batman Vs. Superman trailer may be attached to Star Wars as well.

The X-Men: Apocalypse Comic-Con trailer has leaked online as well.

“X-Men: Apocalypse” has a May 27, 2016 release directed by Bryan Singer starring Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Ian McKellen, Rose Byrne, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Alexandra Shipp and Oscar Isaac.

Captain America: Civil War Trailer Still Being Worked On: Spider-Man Is “Awesome”

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22846:]]

It sounds as if the upcoming Captain America: Civil War trailer said to be released with the premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be new and feature previously unseen footage.

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo recently took part in a Q&A in Cleveland, NY. A fan managed to ask the brothers about the Captain America: Civil War trailer as well as the look of Spider-Man.

Regarding the look of Spider-Man, Joe Russo said, “He’s awesome.”

Anthony Russo also said the Captain America: Civil War trailer is coming along and should be out soon enough.

“The trailer is almost complete,” Anthony Russo said. “With just a few special effects left to edit in, it should be out soon. You’re really going to enjoy it.”

The Reddit user also managed to grab a couple of selfies of the Russo brothers:

Captain America: Civil War Trailer Screened In Cleveland

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22844:]]

Following the recent description for the Captain America: Civil War trailer, it’s now become known the screening took place in Cleveland.

However, what is unclear is if the Cleveland Captain America: Civil War trailer is the same as the one said to be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens as the trailer shown in Cleveland seems to be close to the D23 Expo trailer from this past August.

Hopefully, with all the descriptions and footage that have already hit the net from the Captain America: Civil War trailer that already screened, the Civil War trailer attached to Star Wars will be new.

Update: Anthony and Joe Russo offered an update on Spider-Man and the Captain America: Civil War trailer.

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Possible Captain America: Civil War Trailer Description Leaks Online

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22834:]]

We get a potential description for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War trailer that is said to be attached to the December 18th premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

A user on Reddit is claiming to have attended a private Q&A with the Russo Bros. that ended with a screening of the Captain America: Civil War trailer. Obviously, this could be a bunch of BS, but at least it’s entertaining while we have to wait.

You can find the Captain America: Civil War trailer description below.

No source. It was a live event. Lots of security. All phones were collected before hand.

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22835:]]

This is a description of the FULL trailer that will be attached to Star Wars. If you want to stay surprised, don’t read it. OBVIOUS SPOILER WARNING!

Okay

We get our first look at Falcon using red wing, a drone, tracking an armored vehicle. It uses X-ray vision to look at the vehicle suspension and internals. Pretty badass. Once determining thy vehicle is the one their after, Flacon dives off a building and goes soaring towards it. Black Window runs through the streets and an alley to cut off the vehicle if Flacon can’t make it. Then we get our first look at Crossbones in his suit and in action in a massive action-packed set piece that looks great. Crossbones throws a magnetic bomb that attaches to Caps shield. Cap loses the shield and is forced into a hand to hand brawl. “Remember me? You dropped a building on my face!” Crossbones mentions he might know where Bucky is. Falcon is also caught up in the brawl. He is shot at, but deflects the bullets with his wings. They seem to be much stronger than in Winter Soldier, possibly vibranium.

A brief glimpse of Vision sitting in an arm chair wearing a black suit and tie. Brief glimpse of Black Panther fighting Cap. He has retractable vibranium claws in his suit, which looks fantastic on screen! Brief glimpse at Tony Stark, looking bruised and scraped, suiting up in Iron Man armor that seems to be a bit bulkier. Brief glimpse of Martin Freeman from behind with some voice over. Then a shot of Steve Rodgers holding onto a helicopter with one hand and a landing pad with the other, attempting to prevent the helicopter from taking off with all of his might (and massive biceps).

We see more of the Ant-Man post credits scene, Cap asks Bucky “Do you know who I am?” Bucky smirks and recalls a story from their childhood, revealing that he’s regained his memory and ready to fight with Cap. General Ross speaks to a group of officials, either congress or some other world security council. He seems to look pretty worn out, he’s lost a LOT of weight! Sam Wilson, Steve Rodgers and Wanda Maximoff are standing outside a van. Wilson says something about “Our new recruit.” The van door slides open to reveal Scott Lang sprawled across the back seat. He fan boys over meeting Cap, “You know so many super powered people, thinks for thanking of me… Thanks for thinking of me… I’m still shaking your hand.” He lets go and after a moment pats Cap’s bulky chest and says “wow.” Finally, we see two lines form, team Cap and Team Ironman, ready to charge at each other. Hawkeye pins Black Widow to the ground “Are we still friends?” “Depends on how hard you hit me.” Cut to title: CIVIL WAR!

Does Spider-Man appear in the Captain America: Civil War Trailer?:

Not a single reference, nod, glance, or wink.

Spider-Man speculation:

Well no, actually, Peter Parker has an actual role in the film. Not just a post credits cameo. I believe he’s gonna be on team ironman, then switch to team cap. Rumors suggest Tony builds him the Iron Spider suit, seen in the Civil War comic. Tom Holland was also shooting scenes for at least two weeks. So unless the post credits scene is 15 min, that wouldn’t make any sense. So to say I, as many other fans, expected to see a Spider-Man reference in the trailer is laughable is just you being misinformed.

Potential William Hurt/Red Hulk:

Unless there’s some subplot about him being sick and deciding to somehow treat himself with Gamma cells, that’s much more likely. Seriously, he looked sickly. It took a bit to even realize it was him! Totally forgot he was in the film

Big Captain America: Civil War & Spider-Man Promotion Rumored For Next Week

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22757:]]

DC vs. Marvel is back on!

With Warner Bros. featuring Batman Vs. Superman and Suicide Squad in magazine covers and articles last week, now it’s being said Marvel will be following suit with a big Captain America: Civil War promotion next week.

While WB had Empire and Total Film magazines under their wing, Marvel will once again be going with Entertainment Weekly, which saw the big Age of Ultron reveal with Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Ultron from the Summer of 2014.

The Captain America: Civil War promotion is currently considered a rumor as the info comes via Twitter, which even suggests a Tom Holland Spider-Man reveal may be a part of the event.

The November 13th issue of Entertainment Weekly would be about five weeks from what is said to be the release of the Captain America: Civil War trailer, which is said to be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Even if the rumor turns out false, with the Captain America: Civil War trailer getting released in the coming weeks, we can expect Civil War promotions to amp up.

Captain America: Civil War Trailer Speculated With Star Wars: The Force Awakens

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22683:]]

In a no-brainer, it’s being speculated the Captain America: Civil War trailer will be attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Marvel Studios hasn’t released any footage other than special trailers for various conventions, and the only thing the general public has seen is leaked images and gifs.

It’s possible Disney/Marvel may have learned from Avengers: Age Of Ultron that you don’t have to release three-quarters of the movie online prior to the release as not only has the Captain America: Civil War trailer not been released, but J.J. Abrams has also released only a limited amount of Star Wars: The Force Awakens material.

Regarding Avengers 2, really the only footage that wasn’t released prior to the movie was the film’s conclusion. A majority of us online follow all the news rather closely, so if you watched all the Age Of Ultron spots and trailers, it’s a good bet the movie was spoiled for you, which may have resulted in a disappointing or lackluster viewing (raises hand).

There is a rumor going around that the Captain America: Civil War trailer is being attached to Sony’s James Bond Spectre; however, according to Collider that isn’t true.

It’s also pointed out that the potential Russo Bros. Twitter account tweeted out a pic from a Star Wars poster, which in essence is confirming the Captain America: Civil War trailer with Star Wars: The Force Awakens in December.

Of course, the tweet could also be hinting at Taskmaster, but who knows.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hits December 18th.

Vision Rumored For Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor 3 & Captain America: Civil War Spoilers

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22674:]]

Potenial spoilers for Paul Bettany’s Vision have landed online in regards to Captain America: Civil War and what follows.

The Hashtag Show YouTube Channel states a source that previously filled them in about Vision in Avengers 2 is now offering the following. The video can also be watched below.

The Vision will be in a relationship with Scarlet Witch in Civil War.

While Captain America: Civil War concept art revealed Vision as part of Iron Man’s team, he won’t be staying there.

The Vision will be Tony Stark’s opposition throughout the film and jump over to Captain America’s team.

After major events that occur in the film, the Vision will be leaving Earth for space.

It’s speculated Vision could appear in Thor: Ragnarok, which is similar to the Hulk who will appear in Thor 3 as well. Furthermore, Thor’s Avengers 2 vision featured the Mind Gem in space.

Another possibility is that Vision could end up in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 with the Mind Gem, perhaps tying into Adam Warlock somehow.

It’s suggested Thanos needs to acquire the Mind Gem, so this is why Vision would need to go out into space.

Watch: Anthony Mackie Doesn’t Like Man of Steel

“What was the last good DC movie you saw?” Mackie asks in the above video before he proceeds to argue against Man of Steel being a good movie.

Of course Anthony Mackie is a Marvel man and will be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, which follows Batman Vs. Superman.

Interestingly enough, Marvel announced Captain America vs. Iron Man following WB’s announcement of Batman Vs. Superman. The two movies even originally shared the same release date prior to WB moving up BvS to March.

There has been an ongoing battle between Marvel and DC, with the most previous coming from Zack Snyder with mention that Ant-Man was a flavor of the week movie.

Years ago also saw Robert Downey Jr. state f-ck DC Comics about Nolan’s The Dark Knight:

The Dark Knight. “My whole thing is that that I saw The Dark Knight. I feel like I’m dumb because I feel like I don’t get how many things that are so smart. It’s like a Ferrari engine of storytelling and script writing and I’m like, ‘That’s not my idea of what I want to see in a movie.’ I loved The Prestige but didn’t understand The Dark Knight. Didn’t get it, still can’t tell you what happened in the movie, what happened to the character and in the end they need him to be a bad guy. I’m like, ‘I get it. This is so high brow and so fucking smart, I clearly need a college education to understand this movie.’ You know what? Fuck DC comics. That’s all I have to say and that’s where I’m really coming from.”

The new Aquaman followed that up recently as a fan requested Jason Momoa write “F— Marvel” on a poster:

Robert Downey Jr. Dresses As Tigger For Young Fan Suffering From Cystic Fibrosis

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22649:]]

Robert Downey Jr. continues to prove he is the hero of choice, which may not bode well for Captain America this coming March.

The mother of a young fan suffering from cystic fibrosis has posted on Instagram stating there is nothing her son would like better than to meet the real life Iron Man.

“This is my son Daniel and he has cystic fibrosis.” Vicky Keyte said. “He is seven years old and wants nothing more to meet his idol Robert Downey Jr (aka iron man) as he has managed to get past the bullies he faces from day to day by telling them the he too has a extra special port in his chest much like iron man has his arc reactor, I am sharing this in hope that mr stark (as Daniel calls him out of the suit) could find a way to contact me on here as Daniel could really do with a little lift at the moment after a child at school has told him that all children with cf die. If this reaches him and Daniel could get a reply I hope that it could help him through his stay in hospital as it is starting to take its toll on him.”

Robert Downey Jr. has taken notice of the request and reached out to invite young Daniel to the premiere of Captain America: Civil War — dressed as Tigger from Winnie the Poo.

“Mr. Stark here. This is for Daniel (@envy_coatings) who was having a rough day recently. When I’m in the dumps, I’ve found this little getup to be helpful. P.S. Would you like to come to the LA premiere of Captain America: Civil War as my guest? If so, have your people call my people. All the best.”

Robert Downey Jr. is known for his charitable superhero deeds as in the past the actor has surprised kids at a PAL premiere of Iron Man 3, surprised kids at a Comic-Con costume contest, and gave a bionic arm to a 7-year-old.

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Watch: Tom Holland Talks Spider-Man; Says Chris Hemsworth Gave Him Advice

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22582:]]

Check out video below of Tom Holland talking about playing Spider-Man where the English actor reveals Chris Hemsworth gave him some advice, as the two actors star in the upcoming Ron Howard film, In The Heart Of The Sea.

“Hemsworth is a good friend of mine, and I work with him,” Holland said. “I have a film that’s coming out in a couple months, actually, and he sent me a congratulatory note and also just a few words of advice about ‘remain cool, it’s all going to get a little crazy, but just enjoy life while no one knows who you are and do some travelling.'”

Holland is also asked about taking inspiration from the other Spider-Man films and comic books.

“I think it’s impossible not to,” Holland offered. “They were so great and such real and rich performances. There is obviously factors that I love, and I will continue to try and recreate, but I think the most important thing at the moment is making a film, which is obviously of the same character, but make a different and new and exciting movie.”

“In The Heart of the Sea” has a December 11, 2015 release; Tom Holland will first appear as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War out May 6, 2016 followed by the standalone untitled Spider-Man movie in July 28, 2017.

Marvel Comics Teases Civil War 2

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22328:]]

With the new Captain America: Civil War movie coming out next May, it looks as if Marvel Comics may be launching a comic book event to go along with it as a retailer posted the following image on Twitter.

Marvel Comics sent the retailer the Iron Man vs. Falcon Captain America postcard which also says “Spring 2016” with the Roman numerals “II.”

The art is also by original Civil War artist Steve McNiven.

Civil War was Marvel Comics’ big line-wide event that ran back in 2006 written by Mark Millar.

Watch: Kevin Feige Talks Infinity War From Avengers 2 Blu-Ray Event

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22275:]]

We’ve earlier heard Kevin Feige discussing Spider-Man and Marvel TV while attending yesterday’s Avengers 2 Blu-Ray event, and now video has surfaced featuring details about Infinity War. Below you can check out the Q&A (via SlashFilm), regarding Infinity War, Feige offered the following details:

You will see the other two [Infinity Stones] some time in Phase 3 for sure. There’s a Gauntlet that needs to be filled.

Regarding when Marvel started to put the Infinity Stones storyline together:

It really was sort of Iron Man 2 and building the architecture of the entirety of Phase 1 that it started to come about and the notion of the Tesseract being the not only thing that ties Phase 1 together, but that also could be a part of tieing Phase 2 together. I wouldn’t say it was all perfectly planned and laid out in 2009, but that was the genesis of it. It goes back that far.

Regarding the Gauntlet seen during the Avengers 2 mid-credit scene, Feige said it’s not the same one (a while back saw Feige mention there are two gauntlets). Producer Jeremy Latcham then interjected, “Which do you think is the real one?” with Feige giving him a look.

Note: The Gauntlet featured in Odin’s treasure room is right-handed, while Thanos used a left-handed glove in Avengers 2 (and the Infinity War teaser). The comic book version of the Infinity Gauntlet is left-handed. We can guess Thanos may have created a fake Infinity Gauntlet to throw off Odin and the Asgardians.

Latcham also let it be known a new team of Avengers will be assembling for Marvel’s Phase 4 plans.

Kevin Feige Talks How Spider-Man Fits Into The MCU

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22269:]]

During a Q&A session while promoting The Avengers 2 Blu-Ray, Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige tackled the subject of the new Spider-Man, who will be 15-years-old in the films and played by Tom Holland (via IGN).

Regarding the Spider-Man Sony deal, Feige offered:

Making that agreement … was great, and was really amazing, and on a personal level making these movies, it means a lot because I think we can do great things with Spider-Man,” Feige said. “I think Spider-man can serve great purpose in our universe and that’s where he belongs. That was what was unique about him in the comics was not that he was the only superhero in the world; it’s that he was a totally different kind of superhero when compared against all the other ones in the Marvel universe at the time.

Feige was also asked about Spider-Man showing up “late in the game,” with Feige replying:

…it’s not about when you show up, it’s about what you do once you’re there…

Feige also let it be known that Marvel has alternate plans set up if things don’t go exactly as planed:

This has been a dream of ours for a long time. We always had contingency plans, which we always do anyway. Are we going to be able to make another deal with this actor? If so, we’re going to do this; if not, we’re going to do this. If we get the rights to a certain character, that’s great; we’re going to do this. If not, we’re going to do this. We always sort of operate under those various alternate timelines available and ready to shift if something happens.”

Feige also noted connecting Spider-Man to the rest of the MCU isn’t their main priority.

…the most important thing as a standalone is relaunching Spider-Man in his own standalone movie with his own storylines that fits into this universe. That is job number one for us. … The connectivity is great, but it doesn’t drive the train.

Regarding Captain America: Civil War, Feige said the movie is “very much Cap’s story” and it’s “very much a sequel to the Winter Soldier.

Tom Holland will first be appearing in “Captain America: Civil War” followed by the 2017 Spider-Man reboot.

Stan Lee Chooses A Side In Captain America: Civil War

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22250:]]

Stan Lee recently attended the Edmonton Comic Expo where he was asked which side is he on in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War Marvel movie. Stan’s answer shouldn’t come as a surprise:

Whatever side Captain America was on, because he’s the best, pure-hearted person in the whole world. By the way, he’s a great actor, too, the guy who plays Captain America does a beautiful job — Chris Evans. I say that because he likes me, and anyone who likes me is a great actor.

Stan Lee will also be a part of Civil War and has filmed a cameo.

“I just finished my cameo in the new Captain America movie the day before yesterday in Atlanta,” Lee said back in June. “They should stop calling them cameos and start calling them supporting roles.”

“Captain America: Civil War” has  a May 6, 2016 release date directed by Anthony and Joe Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Frank Grillo, Paul Bettany, Don Cheadle, Emily VanCamp, William Hurt, Martin Freeman and Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther.

Anthony Mackie Doesn’t Want Captain America Replaced

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22246:]]

Earlier saw Chris Evans weigh in on why Captain America comes to a disagreement with Iron Man, and now Anthony Mackie offers his thoughts on a potential new Captain America following Civil War.

As fans of the Marvel Comics storyline know, Steve Rogers was replaced by Bucky following Civil War. With Sebastian Stan playing Bucky in Civil War, it’s possible Chris Evans could share the same fate as his comic book counterpart. Marvel Comics also recently replaced Steve Rogers yet again, but this time with Falcon as the new Captain America. While attending the Salt Lake City Comic-Con, Anthony Mackie states he doesn’t want the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Cap replaced (via Salt Lake Tribune).

“I don’t think we need a new Cap. I don’t think Cap needs to change. I think [Sebastian Stan] would be a great Cap, but then we’re left without Bucky. I think I’d be a great Cap, but then we’re left without a Falcon.”

Likewise, Sebastian Stan offers this thoughts, which seems to be more of a tease about possibly playing Captain America.

“I’ll say this: They sure like to dangle a cheese in front of my nose a lot,” Stan said. In both movies, he’s picked up Cap’s shield in the middle of a battle, as a quick homage to Bucky’s tenure as Captain America in the comic books. “They’re like ‘Oh yeah, that’s where you pick up the shield,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ve heard that one before. There it is again.'”

“But I don’t know. If I could say one thing, if anyone can have anything to do with it, to make it happen, is you [the fans].”

Chris Evans Explains Captain America: Civil War Iron Man Feud

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22245:]]

This coming May sees the Avengers choose sides as Captain America is set to take on Iron Man in a Marvel Civil War. Chris Evans recently attended the Salt Lake Comic-Com where he offered some insights into the movie including the differences between Cap and Iron Man (via sltrib). You can check out the full Chris Evans panel below as well.

Tony actually thinks we should be signing these accords and reporting to somebody and Cap, who’s always been a company man and has always been a soldier, actually doesn’t trust anymore. Given what happened in Cap 2, I think he kind of feels the safest hands are his own. And these are understandable concerns, but this is tough, because even reading the script, you think I think I agree with Tony in a way, and I do agree that to make this work, you do need to surrender to the group. It can’t just be one person saying this is right and this is what we’re going to do.

But Cap has his reasons, he certainly has his reasons, and he is a good man and his moral compass is probably the cleanest. This is a tough thing. This is what made it so interesting while we were filming, and it’s hopefully what will make the movie great is nobody’s right, nobody’s wrong. There’s no clear bad guy here. We both have a point of view, which is akin to most disagreements in life and politics.

Ant-Man Passes Captain America: The First Avenger At Box Office

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:22190:]]

Good news for fans of Ant-Man (and possibly a potential sequel) as the Ant-Man movie has just passed Captain America: The First Avenger at the box office both here in the U.S. and worldwide.

As it stands, Ant-Man has netted $177,586,846 domestically and $223,800,000 internationally giving it a current worldwide total of $401,386,846.

Captain America: The First Avenger, which spawned the popular Winter Soldier sequel, had a $176,654,505 draw in the U.S., with another $193,915,269 coming from foreign audiences for a grand total of $370,569,774.

We’re guessing Marvel has to consider this good news considering how unknown of a character Ant-Man is, especially compared to Cap.

A sequel for Ant-Man has yet to be announced, but Paul Rudd will be appearing in next May’s Captain America: Civil War.

Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige also let it be known there are big plans for Evangeline Lilly’s Wasp.
