Christian Bale & Morgan Freeman Say Batman Vs. Superman Won’t Beat The Dark Knight (Video)

Ben Affleck has some big shoes to fill as the previous Batman, Christian Bale, was popular amongst the fans as was Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy.

ET caught up with both Bale and Morgan Freeman who offered they don’t think anything will ever be better than their Nolan Batman movies.

“Everyone brings their own element to that — Ben [Affleck] will do that as well,” Bale said about playing Batman. “I think the trailers are looking great and I’m looking forward to that.”

Morgan Freeman had his own two cents to add.

“I’m happy for Ben [Affleck], but I don’t know how that’s gonna work,” Morgan Freeman said, who played Lucius Fox for Nolan. “Because The Dark Knight was almost ‘it.’ Pretty much ‘it.’ Did you see Batman Begins? I don’t think you can beat that.”

“Right on for Morgan [Freeman] for saying no one will ever be that, I very much like him,” Bale responded.

“Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2” has a June 3, 2016 release directed by David Green and produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller, starring Megan Fox as April O’Neil, Will Arnett as Vernon, Stephen Amell as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry as Baxter Stockman, Brian Tee as Shredder, with the movie also featuring Bebop and Rocksteady.

Batman Vs. Superman is “Epic, thrilling and visually spectacular” Says Henry Cavill

We all know Superman doesn’t lie, so Batman Vs. Superman should be a good one.

Eonline caught up with Man of Steel Henry Cavill who offered the Dawn of Justice is “epic, thrilling and visually spectacular.”

Though the odds are stacked up against Cavill once again – as he’s set to face off against Batman, Doomsday, Lex and who knows what else – Henry says he wouldn’t change a thing.

“He has all the powers,”Cavill said. “And Superman can’t help but love everyone and wants to do the right thing [and]…you know you have the right guy advising you.”

Henry Cavill was also a presenter at this past weekend’s Oscars where he admitted he was just a little bit nervous.

“I was a little nervous about what to expect when I came here, but it’s so busy and there’s so much going on that you don’t feel really exposed as you do at some of the other events,” Cavill said. “I’m really enjoying this. The energy is fantastic. It’s real good fun.”

        I really like these figures a lot, even more than the FUNKO figures. They’re really solid, heavy and pretty cool looking. Plus they are pretty cheap: around ten bucks or so.

        I had a chance to see Hamill back in 2011 at a panel at the NYCC, and he was by far one of the best.

        A second Batman Vs. Superman game has launched with “The Wayne Investigation,” which is a choose-your-own-adventure style game for the Amazon Echo.

        Variety reports anyone who owns an Amazon Echo smart loudspeaker or an Amazon Fire TV with Alexa integration can play the game.

        “The Wayne Investigation” game lets users immerse themselves in the world of Gotham, just days after Bruce Wayne’s parents were killed. Amazon’s personal assistant Alexa doubles as a user’s ears and eyes during this investigation, guiding them through multiple rooms, giving them choices and helping them to find valuable clues.

        “We’re thrilled to work with Warner Brothers and DC Comics to bring ‘The Wayne Investigation’ to our Alexa-enabled devices,” said Rob Pulciani, Director of Alexa. “This is the first Alexa skill to use a combination of produced audio assets and Alexa technology.”

        Users are given up to 37 decisions throughout the game, which can take anywhere from 5 to 40 minutes, depending on the decisions of the player.

        A “Who Will Win” Batman Vs. Superman game is also available.

        New Spider-Man Tom Holland happens to be an accomplished gymnast and posted a video to his Instagram account showing off his acrobatic skills.

        Holland notes it took him ages to get his airtrick back.

        Idris Elba & Matthew McConaughey Cast In Stephen King’s The Dark Tower

        The big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower is finally moving forward as Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey have been cast in the starring roles.

        Idris Elba will play The Gunslinger, with Matthew McConaughey as the Man In Black.

        King, Elba and McConaughey all took to Twitter to announce the news, in addition to an interview up at EW.com with The Dark Tower director and co-writer, Nikolaj Arcel.

        The Dark Tower has a January 13, 2017 release.

        Gods Of Egypt Director Blasts Critics For Their Movie Reviews

        Gods Of Egypt starring Gerard Butler recently debuted at the box office — and bombed.

        It sits at only 12% positive amongst critics at Rotten Tomatoes; the public presently gives it a 49% positive rating.

        The film is said to have a whopping $170 million budget, but it came in at second place this past weekend, behind Deadpool, meaning more than likely Gods Of Egypt won’t recuperate its money.

        That said, the director on the movie, Alex Proyas, isn’t too happy. Proyas took to his Facebook page to blast all the critics and their movie reviews. Proyas also directed Knowing, I Robot and The Crow.

        NOTHING CONFIRMS RAMPANT STUPIDITY FASTER…
        Than reading reviews of my own movies. I usually try to avoid the experience – but this one takes the cake. Often, to my great amusement, a critic will mention my past films in glowing terms, when at the time those same films were savaged, as if to highlight the critic’s flawed belief of my descent into mediocrity. You see, my dear fellow FBookers, I have rarely gotten great reviews… on any of my movies, apart from those by reviewers who think for themselves and make up their own opinions. Sadly those type of reviewers are nearly all dead. Good reviews often come many years after the movie has opened. I guess I have the knack of rubbing reviewers the wrong way – always have. This time of course they have bigger axes to grind – they can rip into my movie while trying to make their mainly pale asses look so politically correct by screaming “white-wash!!!” like the deranged idiots they all are. They fail to understand, or chose to pretend to not understand what this movie is, so as to serve some bizarre consensus of opinion which has nothing to do with the movie at all. That’s ok, this modern age of texting will probably make them go the way of the dinosaur or the newspaper shortly – don’t movie-goers text their friends with what they thought of a movie? Seems most critics spend their time trying to work out what most people will want to hear. How do you do that? Why these days it is so easy… just surf the net to read other reviews or what bloggers are saying – no matter how misguided an opinion of a movie might be before it actually comes out. Lock a critic in a room with a movie no one has even seen and they will not know what to make of it. Because contrary to what a critic should probably be they have no personal taste or opinion, because they are basing their views on the status quo. None of them are brave enough to say “well I like it” if it goes against consensus. Therefore they are less than worthless. Now that anyone can post their opinion about anything from a movie to a pair of shoes to a hamburger, what value do they have – nothing. Roger Ebert wasn’t bad. He was a true film lover at least, a failed film-maker, which gave him a great deal of insight. His passion for film was contagious and he shared this with his fans. He loved films and his contribution to cinema as a result was positive. Now we have a pack of diseased vultures pecking at the bones of a dying carcass. Trying to peck to the rhythm of the consensus. I applaud any film-goer who values their own opinion enough to not base it on what the pack-mentality say is good or bad.

        Hopefully NTW will make it back for the sequel, and I know some fans are even hoping for a spinoff featuring the exploding mutie.

        “It turns out I was going overboard with the goth look for NTW and Tim wanted us to do a pass of her in a suit close to what Josh Middleton designed for his New Mutants covers,” Shaw offered. “Then the costume department would put together something over the suit to give her the goth look.”

        Watch: J.K. Simmons Responds To Spider-Man Petition

        While Marvel and Sony are rebooting Spider-Man with Tom Holland, fans would still like to see the J. Jonah Jameson back from the Sam Raimi movies played by J.K. Simmons.

        A fan petition has been launched to get the actor to return, and now Simmons responds.

        Entertainment Tonight caught up with Simmons at the Spritit Awards where Simmons made light of the petition, but did state he would be open for a return.

        The new Spider-Man will first appear in Captain America: Civil War, out this May, followed by the standalone Spider-Man movie in 2017.
