James Gunn Excited For Silver Surfer; Responds To Ryan Reynolds

It’s official!

The Silver Surfer and Galactus are back home at Marvel as the characters are related to the Fantastic Four franchise, which Disney just purchased from Fox Studios!

“The agreement also provides Disney with the opportunity to reunite the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool with the Marvel family under one roof and create richer, more complex worlds of inter-related characters and stories that audiences have shown they love,” the official press release states.

As Silver Surfer and Galactus are both Marvel COSMIC characters, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn took to Twitter to offer up he is excited about the deal, and Gunn also responded to Ryan Reynolds’ own reaction.

James Gunn has also been said to be spearheading the Marvel Cosmic Universe, so it’s likely that we’ll eventually see the Sentinel of the Spaceways and the Devourer of Worlds in the MCU some time in the near future.

Gunn is currently working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
